Hey, I met this girl the other night, HB9 on the night but I was drunk, so probably a HB8! Anyway we were pulling for bloody hours in this club, talked for a bit, she told me to text her tomorrow.
I'd normally w8 a few days, but thought that may piss her off, so I w8ed to late evening. I'm a real loser when it comes to asking the girl on a date after the club. First of all what can ur pro eyes tell from the convo? Secondly do you think its the right time to ask for a date, and should I text or call?


Text convo

Me: Hey 'Name', how's it going? Did you have a good time last night?! Xx

Her: Yeah had a great night Still recovering though :) howwas urs? xx

Me: Haha I'm struggling to shake off my hangover too, this hot weather has nothelping! I had an awesome night, went a bit too quick for my liking though! xx

Her: I wish the night had gone on for longer too but the hangover doesnt help with revision ^-^ what time did you wake up!

Me: It certainly doesn't! I woke up at 8 this morn, still havn't managed 2 do much work! Remind me again what ur doing at uni again, my recollection oflast night is patchy! xx

Her: At least you've done some work. I fell asleep on my notes today! I'm doing chemical engineering. xx

Me: Haha thats what happens when vodka doubles are only 2 pound! Wow chemical engineering , very impressive, beauty and brains! xx

Her: Wow, im flattered! Ur not so bad urself. :). Do you have a lot of exams then? xx (I fell asleep after that so havn't replied)

Sounds like your heading for friend zone, I'd be frank and drop the small talk, text her asking if she wants to hook up.

I'd text her soonish, she is gunna be pissed that u haven't text her back!

Waiting a few days is stupid. By that time the attraction has cooled, so good striking while the iron is hot. It was a sweet conversation, full of fluff. Wouldn't it be better if you guys could've had that nice little chat over an afternoon beer? You're screwing up by not having a GOAL. All you're doing is making small talk, which she will get bored of. It's a good thing you fell asleep and left her hanging.

Get back to her immediately. Tell her you fell asleep, and angle to meet in person. I would say something like, "Hey, sorry I fell asleep on you last night." Let her say whatever. "Ha ha, yeah. It's so easy talking to you, but texting puts me to sleep! Lets pick up our little chat at (location). What's a good time for you?" That's how you do it.

Cheers minsok, good advice!

I always get into this stage of prolonged small talk, I need to grow some balls!

I texted her, pretty much whatt you said, answered her question about the exams, said i was a bit unprepared.

I'm planning she'll text back, something like 'something exams, I'm crapping it etc.' Ill then ask her if she wants to meet up sometime this week for a revision break or something. I'll incorporate what you suggested too.

'Got 3. One which is on my birthday. I'm also very unprepaered for them. Have you already done ur dissertation or u still writing it? xx'

The way this is going its gunna be a never ending convo

Is it rude to divert it to something like

'I'll have to tell you about it on our date, monday good?'

You can steer anything toward a date. Just make it smooth. I could solve this for you, but you have to do it your own way.
