hi folks!
this is the problem: i dated someone for a month (long distance / 2hours apart) all went well at first, but the whole thing failed after he realized that he wasnt ready for something new (he was out of a 3year on/off relationship). he saw the ex whilst we were dating and the ex desperately doesnt want it to be over/wont accept that and keeps on urging him. i told him that i didnt want to maintain a friendship because it would feel unnatural, that i want to date him, so that it would be better to go seperate ways.
2 months later he calls me and we talk about everything possible..he wants to know whether i`m seeing someone and when i ask him the same he responds by saying that he is seeing the ex again, that they have something going, but he is too occupied to see where its leading, whether its what he wants.
he wanted to meet me since he was coming to my city, but i told him that i`m not seeing him until he has resolved his situation with the ex (why would i be stupid enough to repeat what failed before?!). he responded semi-jokingly by saying that that resolving the thing with his ex would take years and that i would be off-market by then.
its only a question of time till we meet again by chance in some club.
question: when we stumble across each other, should i choose the strategy of
a) having a nice harmless chit-chat, spend time in a platonic way
b) be nice , but make it short & evade him
c) aim at having kino, kissing but making it clear that there will be no dates until the ex-thing is resolved?
d) ?
any advice highly appreciated!
