...not what your thinking, either! I've been going with this girl for a while and we were talking and she told me the reason she was unsure she'd be able to date me is that she's never dated anyone shorter than her. Now I know that women want to be able to look up at her man blah blah blah, but I've done everything right up to this point and tried being as confidant as I can with myself but I cant seem to break or bend this belief of hers. The real funny thing about this is that she is 5'4 and im 5'3. We'd be a short couple but Im not drastically shorter at all. Were nearly eye level. If anyone knows a way to help her feel at ease with this "issue" any help is appreciated. |

Platform shoes could work, but that would just be violating myself to make her feel better so she'll stay. I want to convince her that the difference is not an issue but im not gonna change myself physically in order to do make her feel better. If she really cant handle the difference then she's gotta go. I like her and everything but if she cant compromise then were finished, because I like shorter women than me but given my stature I had to compromise with her a bit. |

"Lifts" in your shoes might work, but I think there's a bigger issue here: This sounds a bit like a shit test. I'm a newbie here, but this kind of smacks of making a guy jump through hoops and having to "prove their love". Maybe turn this around on her, ask, "Would you date me if I were taller?" If yes, then neg her, "Isn't that kind of like not dating me because I'm not rich enough/don't drive a cool car/whatever? That's pretty superficial. I thought we were out of high school." Being an AFC, I welcome any critique of the above. |

Do NOT wear platform shoes. Do NOT try to figure out a way to make this less of an issue. Do NOT try to "solve" this problem. Height is not that big of a deal. She can either date you the way you are or you can date any of a thousand other girls she's lucky you habn't met yet. Don't let her (or anyone else) treat you like that. |

Again I'm pretty new, but i would also say that was a shittest. If you didn't have anything good to say at that time and stumbled a bit, that would be a serious DLV.I think your back at attraction and you need to do some DHV and neg her. The thing Darkst0rm said was pretty nice. |

what do you think sounds better in her mind, telling you, sorry im not attracted to you, 'its not you its me' its nothing youve done i just dont like you. OR your a great guy but i just dont like it when the guys shorter than me witch does she think will damage your ego less?...the bottom line is she dosent want you, her whole i dont like guys shorter than me is bullshit IMO, shes just trying to spare your feelings. if a girl ever says she dosent like something about you and you go straight ahead and change it...what does this say? now you can take something positive from this, if YOU are insecure about your height and being taller would make YOU feel more comfortable then do what darkstorm said and get lifts in your shoes. If you are going to change something about yourself do it FOR YOURSELF, dont jump through hoops every other girl you meet puts up. Seriously where woud this shit end, after the next few girls, one dosent like short guys...ill wear shoes that make me tall, one dosent like guys with hair...ok ill shave my head, one dosent like meat...ok i wont eat meat anymore, one dosnt like guys...ok ill get a sex change..... |

This girl seems to have issues. A girl with that kind of weak inner game (Yes girls have inner game too) is way too weak to waste time on in my humble opinion. The fact that she has issues about your "length" is proof enough, whatever would you need her for? You are as tall as you need to be. If you wear platforms and a big hat or whatever thats only gotta show that you got issues. If you feel comfortable in your own skin, now thats attractive! |
