Do you think telling a girl you used to have a huge crush on her in middle school is a good idea? I'm currently a sophmore in high school and I told this HB8 who I've been friends with since 8th grade (and who I'm trying to hook up with) that I had a huge crush on her back then. She was all surprised and saying stuff like "YOU DID?!" and all that shit. Anyways I wasn't sure if this was a good idea or a waste of time. I figured it would at least have me on her mind throughout the rest of the day but I don't know.. If you have any suggestions for me I'm all ears. :D |

ok this is a hard one to comment on....because im gunna say what i think most people reading this will think and if u dnt see it yrself yr in trouble but u sound majorly in the FRIEND ZONE... so anyway fixing this, u told her u did thats fine, i would have added a playful comment like yea then i got to no u and relised u where nuts so i stopped *playful hit on arm from her NORMALLY or a OH THANKS comment* secondly was the "YOU DID?" in shock or slightly more shy "shut up really u did ?" the second one would be a better reply ... it will keep u on her mind but we dnt no if in a good way or bad way as of yet...and i really hope u didnt use the words HUGE crush little crush not HUGE....go through some of the helper tips in the other sections of this site making sure yr DEFO out of the friend zone, and then play on her mind again, as if its a hole new start...that way when she becomes attracted for u she has hope and will try hard knowing that the feelings used to be there anyway |

Well Justtom,it depends on the context. I dont see anything wrong with telling her that. But I'd need more details to sum it up. Where did you say it to her? How did you say it:playfully, sentimental tone, serious, etc.? |

if you known her from middle school and your trying to game her now, its not gonna be easy. chances are she sees you as just a friend, id say that ship sailed a long time ago |

Great point Nick. It depends on the context and how she took it. I disagree;I dont think he's been friend zoned by telling the girl he has a crush on her. SuavayƩ made a great point also. This girl already has a set-opinion of you since she knows you prior. It'd be real hard to change that opinion of you. But plow on though. |

None of that matters. I never used to get any girls back in the day. I wouldn't even talk to them. Now I have the same hot girls that I went to school with back in the day all over me. It's not who you used to be, it's who you are now. You can't control the past, just deal with the present. |

Great point Ataraxia. We wer'nt saying it's a lost cause to sarge girl you know from bacc in the day. Im just saying it'd be more difficult to rewire her impression of you. |

Nick, to answer your questions, I didnt say I had a HUGE crush... I was just like "yea i used to have a crush on you back in the day". She was mainly surprised above anything else and she seemed flattered too haha. I cant remember what I said exactly but I know I followed it up with some sort of joke like you suggested. K-loc, we were having a joking normal conversation and I just brought that up with a semi-playful tone. I didn't want to just switch the mood completely but I wanted to tell her that and let her know I was actually serious. A bunch of you think I'm in the friend zone even though I'm pretty sure I'm not. What are some ways to find out if I am without just being like "am I in the friend zone". I mean we flirt all the time and I just don't think she ever looked at me that way but you can never be too sure. Thanks again for the help guys. |

I think that telling her that u used to have a crush on her could work a treat.... If you can come up with some good reasons / false disqualifiers as to why u don't have one any more. Its a perfect push pull / cat string theory scenario! Also the right sort of reasons / disqualifiers should give you the opportunity to display value, and that you have experience with high value women, know what you want in a woman, and wont settle for less now. Done properly this should have her dhv'ing & chasing you! |

Im the only poster so far who doesnt think that you're in the friend zone. I dont get why they say Justtom's in the LJBF zone? |

k-loc i see you, i dont think youre in the friend zone. im currently a senior and am getting with this HB9 that i had a big crush on in 9th grade. i wasnt even gaming her a couple months back and told her that i had a crush on her back in the day which got things moving in her head, and the next week she straight pulled me up stairs for some fool around time. she straight up told me that her attraction for me built off of that comment, so as long as you keep up the game, youre good kid |

if you 2 flirt all the time than that changes everything, your not in the friend zone but in a sort of "grey-zone" of comfort and attraction. if you want her, you should make a move on her that says you want more than just friendship. |

I agree with K-LOC in the sense that you're not necessarily in the friend zone. Her response of, "YOU DID!?" shows that maybe she had (or has) similar feelings. I think you're in good shape, man. |

I would have made a move on her by now but the problem is shes going out with some guy who I'm semi-friends with. So I don't want to get her to cheat on him with me but I'll definitly make a move on her once they break up (hopefully sooner then later) |
