When I went to year 12, I was a FOB who was from a totally different culture and background, and as I did not know many people, I did not act like myself, and just tried to be that "veryyy friendly" guy who talks to everyone and I admit, I was pretty weird. I don't think anyone hated me, but many did not like me -girls- because I seemed like a freak probably -tho I never hit on any one them-. That's my understanding of the situation. however, I don't have to act nice now, I say "fuck off" to anyone I don't like, right in their face and I have had sex with more gorgeous women than my high-school, and I have many friends way hotter than the girls from high-school! So I'm not desperate at all (as I also have a girl-friend), but after high-school, I kept a lil contact with my high-school mates, and next week is one of of the popular guys 21st , in which I will be meeting the old people and there are other 21st coming along which I am invited, so here is what I want you guys to help me out with! When I go there, do I need to restart conversation with even the girls who did not like me -or at least I thought they don't like me- and show my true personality, or do I need to just hang with the people I know mostly guys, and regarding them, only say hi and how are you -if only we made eye-contact- and carry on with other guests and pretty much ignore them, and wait for them to approach me (even as for curiosity as I look very different from high-school as well -which was 3 years ago-)???? Thank you all in advance! |

from what you have said its obvious you feel you have changed in a positive way since highschool and you are wanting to find out the most apropritate way to make sure all the people at the party know this. You should feel no need to have to gain the aproval of the people you used to know for you to prove to youself that you are a changed person from that kid in highschool, the change should be reward in itself. no validation from people you used to know should be needed. you should go into this situation without harbouring any ideas of what they used to think of you, if you just be the new person you are they will of course react to what they see in front of them there is no need to igonor certain people or wait until others make eye contact, just treat this situation the same as any social situation you would find yourself in, the fact they new the old you 3 years ago makes no difference....look at your sig, You will reflect to others what you feel inside! |

Great advice, but there would be some pre-judgment there and my confidence has a mood swing depending on people's mood around me! I even thought to go and stay depending on how much fun and interactions I have, the second I feel awkward, to come up with an excuse and leave. |

i would suggest that you next step should be to further develop yourself so as your confidence will not be deminished by other peoples moods. as for the fun and interactons, you have alot of control of the amout of interactions you have(through the amount of interactions you start) and if you can interact in a way that people open up and you find cominalities these reactions will be fun. this type of senario you are entering is a good test for yourself of how you have developed, meeting people who new the old you will be intimidating but this can highlight areas of your game to you that you need to concentrate on. you are entering a stressful situation but being able to handle a situation like this and feel comfortable is your next step. i would recomend your look at this link to help you through this. http://www.rsdwiki.com/index.php?title=Eckhart_Tolle |
