I play guitar, and I think I am pretty good. But if I went up to a girl and said, "Hey lets have sex I play the guitar" and smiled she wouldn't blow me off, right? I always hear about guys who play guitar get laid so much, or get the girls all the time. Well that hasn't happened for me because I don't know how to do this without being an ass face show off. And sometimes it is difficult for me to play in front of strangers, except for on chatroulette. Like my uncle came over and my dad wanted me to play for him and I was going to play some ACDC and forgot the whole riff. I hardly knew him though since the last I saw him I was like 7 or 8. |

You can't flat out brag but you can be suggestive towards your talents. For example, I use to DJ so I would tell stories that begin with 'At the show last night I....' and go on with some story. Ninety percent of the time the girl would ask what show. From there I would say 'oh mine, I was playing at...' So don't just plain brag but suggest things that make the target ask about them. Thus you DHV by showing that you don't brag and that you also do all this cool stuff. |

Yes, she would blow you off unless she is a whore. Why don't you get your guitar, prepare a piece of music and go out to open coffee houses that let people play? If you can't play in front of people because you are nervous, and have stage fright, it will be the same thing with a girl. Conquer your fear by putting yourself in the situation that makes you the most afraid, playing in front of people. Now do this for 5 or 6 months and your guitar skills will get better, you will stop being so damn focused on mundane details, and you might even meet a chick in the process. Now GO!!! Start searching open venues in your area, like, right now.

If you feel that you have to show her that you play the guitar then I would suggest making that an unimportant part of a story. Like, you had a party and a friend of a friend stole your guitar strings but not the actual instrument, whats up with that. See, the guitar isnt the deal, it is just a part of the story. Also, if you tell it like it is not important it isnt bragging really... |

You would have to make a joke, if not it might be creepy. You'd have to be confident about it though, if your shy then it would be weird. |

Actually, his name is Kristallnachte. Which is german for chrystal night. If I am not mistaken that was the night when some really bad people broke the windows in the shops of a lot of other people just before the second worldwar. I am not sure I like the name but at least it is far from being a girlish name. But yes, the PMZ is more advanced than the stuff you read here. |

In my experience, it is acceptable to mention your talents and hobbies if it pertains to the current topic. If it is completely relevant and moves the conversation forward, then by all means, mention that you play guitar or sing or play rugby or something. If you are talking and just say "Oh yeah, I play guitar and I'm good, let's fuck." Then it won't work. Now, that being said, it may still sound overly cocky if you are talking about guitar and you say "Oh, I play guitar." She'll likely say "Are you good?" and the cocky response would be "Yeah, I'm great." This still comes off kind of show-offish, even though it is relevant. I recommend the approach that others have stated, that if you 'hint' at your talent, she will likely ask about it, in which case you can elaborate. This gives the impression that you aren't too self-obsessed or self-gratifying, but you are confident enough to see value in yourself. I was talking to a girl the other day who is a model. I didn't know it at the time, but she hinted at it several times. We were talking at one point about different types of walks people have, and she mentioned her 'runway walk', which I took to be a joke. Later on, we were talking about TV shows, and she mentioned that she watches America's Next Top Model. Then, I said that most of the models on that show are bitchy, and she said "Not all of them. I'm not". This finally gave it away to me that she was a model, but she didn't do it by saying "Hey, I'm a model." She hinted at it over time, which gives a humble and high-value impression. |
