Post subject:  Thoughts on PUA and the game

After playing the game for a while (and once learned it really is effective) I've noticed myself, whenever I try to enter into a serious relationship, the women that I attract end up losing interest in me.

Men...are we damned to either play or be played? I've been frusterated with this for a while. I want a mutual respect relationship where I don't have to use games for us to both fall in love. I'd pick a 5 with a great personality VS a 10 who doesn't bring much to the table, and whom I'm constantly gaming

Any thoughts?

Wow man that's hard.

I'd try different circles, try gaming different girls and try different things.

Maybe as soon as you have the initial atraction, ie. day 2, stop all the routines etc. and just try and be yourself. A big trial and error story i think mate.

How old are you?
Sometimes it's just not that easy to find the one.
Try getting friends to match you with people and set you up. Try complete opposites, stuff you haven't tried before.

Sorry for rambling a bit.
I hope I have been of some help!

How about you stop playing the game?

Meaning- Use the techniques you have learned to better get to know a girl.

But than I think you get to a point where you either need to move on from the girl (you and the HB are not compatible for a LTR) or if your both still really into each other its time to stop gamming. And actually get to know one another.

You shouldn't have to keep proving to a girl that you are good enough for her or running routines to keep her attention. You should move into a state of just being yourself and your natural personality should take it from there.

The only thing I use these techniques for is to meet girls and to either number close or h/u. I am terrible at meeting new girls and this has helped tremendously. After I meet a girl and were out together again I just let myself go naturally and don't think "ok now I need to run this routine." Because the girl should start to like you and not the routines you are running.

Every guy on here runs the some variation of the same game. She isn't falling for you she is falling for the game.

If your a jock trying to meet girls playing the game, thats great, but the girl should like the you as a jock and not some guy running game.

Same with a Star Wars geek. If she doesn;t like you as a star wars geek than the relationship is set up to fail.

In Summary, I think you need to take aspects of the game and incorperate it into your life. It should be a part of your personality, it shouldnt be your entire personality. Just my thoughts.

I MASSIVELY agree with orion. The game is great for meeting girls and gaining confidence but i think it can be highly destructive as well. I have a bit of a rep down here now (admittedly it is a very small city) and you can run into problems with the game. I think not using it (aside from your new found confidence) after day two, or even on day two, is a good idea.

Come on guys, the game is awesome!!! I believe that it is not applied appropriately and that is why it backfires.

First thing, you need to realize that you do not need to use canned material and all the stuff available on the net. Just be yourself, your most confident, best self. The canned stuff is just there as training wheels. I barely use any canned stuff or gimmicks. I dont have a gimmick for a phone number or for a kiss close. I am just myself.

This is why it breaks down in relationships. When they met you, you came accross as this bad boy/player/entertainer and now she is getting to know the real you. If you keep up your appearance she'll remain happy, if you dont and you start hiding in the cave with her then she will be unhappy. She was attracted to who you portrayed to her not to your true self.

Secondly, you need to sit and decide, what type of girl do I want. Do I want a 10, party girl, who will get unhappy sitting in the cave watching movies or do I want an 8 who enjoys spending time doing the thing I like. Then go hunt where you'll find your type of girl. Lets be honest, your chances of meeting your wife in a club, popping pills, snorting coke and getting pissed out her mind is slim to non. That is where you get practice and get laid!!!

Where are you sarging? I tend to think that maybe the girls who doll themselves up and hang out in night clubs aren't always going to be the deepest, sweetest most lovable girls. I mean, I love them in their own way, but a LTR with them seems unlikely. The problem is the nice sweet HB8s who love Star Wars are all at home watching TV & not out dancing in clubs.

Don't get me wrong, you can never totally judge a book by its cover. But think back to the Game by Strauss. He loved a lot of women, but never 'fell in love' until he met that Lisa Leveridge. He sarged for what, 18 months, and never found a loving LTR in all that time. Not really anyway.

Just my humble thoughts.

thanks for the insightful responses...i have incorporated my game into my personality in some respects. Not being a pushover, letting a girl use me for money are just a few things. Unfortunately, for me, when I become attached to a girl I typically scare her away because I'm highly emotional...and strong emotions scare women over time. No, I don't abuse, but females want a strong man who can handle their emotions. I simply am a very emotional person...depression is a big part of it
