Post subject:  Rate my text game
Ok so my text game has been challenging for me but I think I got to the point where the playful banter is coming natural. This was from a convo with an old FB who has been really pissing me off lately. She has been super hot/cold so I tried to lay on the assholery. I had just made a facebook post that I got a new phone. Soon after she text me. Side note, I knew it was her from the beginning.

Please be honest as I can only improve with honesty.

FB: I bet my phone is better than ur phone!!
Me: Keep dreaming. The real question though is should I save this number
FB: U don’t know who this is?
ME: Of course I know who this is…..Shannon
FB: Ur such an ass!
FB: You kno who this is right?
ME: Julia?
FB: I hope your joking. Its Brittany but you can erase it now
Me: Erase what?
FB: My number
ME: Why you being a bitch?
FB: What? Im not
Me: You telling me to erase your number is def bitch behavior
FB: Cuz u said you didn’t know who it was!
ME: I know now what to get you for your bday
FB: What?
ME: A sense of humor!
FB: Haha….. real funny
Me: So what kind place do you work where women are driving into buildings?
FB: A women lost contreoll and ran into the building and into the elevator, it was crazy!
ME: You must have really pissed her off for her to come after you like that! I am staying away for you.
FB: She wasn’t after me lol. I don’t think I could get anyone that mad
Me: Give it time, you are still young
Me: Well….sorta young
FB: OMG my feelings r hurt
Me: Butt hurt?
FB: Ur insane!
Me: So where you want the bite?
FB: No where
Me: Yea you’re right…..I would probably catch something
FB: OMG….lol

I don't know, not my style. I'd never call a girl a bitch twice in a row while texting

This girl may be an exception, but as a general rule, ease up on the negging.

With texting, you have to tone it down since she can't see your facial expressions.
Smilies can help with that, but only mirror her use of emoticons (some girls use :P more than :), some use =) instead, some use :-), and some don't use it at all. ) The same goes for use of punctuation and “haha” or "lol". If she never “x”s you only “x” when she’s been good. Choose a word she uses in her text and use it back, pick up on subtle writing styles.


Avoid using "so"

In my texts, I tease without insult, I humour with wit, irony, double entandre, or misinterpretation. Lead the conversation, but make it short and sweet. Don't be afraid to cut the conversation short, and say you'll text/call her later in the evening.

Notice how she answers her texts, is it long and elaborate, keep at it. If it seems like the texts are not hitting the right spot with her, there are long time lapses or short answers, move swiftly over to phone before a negative “no” ladder is built up.

Using “we” is very powerful. Whenever we can, it’s good to use “we” instead of “you and I”. It establishes a connection in a very powerful and subtle way. “when can we get together?” says something very different to “when are you free?” it assumes that we both are participating in mutual process of “getting together”. She’s not being “asked out”.

If she didn't reply to something, wait a day or whatever and use my favorite text line: "Those beautiful eyes. Those sexy lips. The smoothest walk.......But enough about me, how are you doing?"

Fair enough. I was super pissed off at the way she has been acting so I guess I let it get the best of me. I dont nomrally call girls a bitch like that.
