I saw a PUA video and they said it's considered weak to initiate a handshake. Why is this? |

Because it shows that you want to meet the person which implies that you believe the person to have higher value than you. Otherwise, why would you want to meet them? That's the reasoning behind it anyway. I haven't decided whether that a true statement or not yet. |

Really? I always initiate the handshake and never felt DLV. This thread is really interesting I would love some opinions on that. |

Wanting to meet someone is not a bad thing. People worry about this crap too much. I have initiated handshakes with a girl or a guy and they don't treat me with higher or lower status. In fact its the type of handshake (I suggest you read Allan and Barbara Pearse's book on body language for an explanation of this) Also of course you want to meet the girl, by wanting to meet someone it does not mean you DLV, what a load of fucking crap! Showing interest in a girl is not a bad thing, if it was then it wouldn't be us who asked them out. If you start a conversation, you're expressing interest, by flirting, you're expressing interest, by asking a girl out, you're expressing interest. Expressing interest isn't the problem, its how you express interest, as much as its not what you say, its how you say it. |
