I really wanna get good at this stuff. I have shit social skills, so learning this stuff is also about improving on that rather than just fucking a load of girls. I think something that would help would be to have friends that know that I'm learning this stuff and maybe help me out a little. I have a few girl friends, I was thinking if I explained to the girls that I was learning this stuff and that I need a little bit of help, maybe I could improve a lot quicker. The thing I'm worried about is that I could come across as a weirdo. So what I wanna know is have any of you guys introduced friends or girls to pick-up and let them know that you're learning this stuff? How did you do it? What happened? |

I've always been fairly open about the fact that I practice this stuff to my closest friends. Just make sure to explain in a way, so that you wont come off as a perv, that's what I did and honestly they really couldn't care less xD. Sometimes when we've gone out, I've even asked them help. I've told them: "You just show up, say something along the lines of this and this and I'll pretty much take it from there" or something like that and they've always been willing to help. I often ask one of my closest female friends about advice, like "how would you react if a guy did this and this." Just tell them that you're doing this to improve your life in a number of ways, and it's not just about taking girls home, because it isn't. Then I don't think they would have any problem with it. |

I think that soliciting female friends for advice can be good once in a while, but many times it is a pitfall, and the information you get from them is not the same as what you would get from PUA teachings. This is because what girls think they want and what they actually want are two different things. And, their advice will be based off of what they think they want. Case in point: Most girls think they want a nice guy, and when asked what they look for in a man, that's how they respond. However, how many of them actually go for the nice guy in the group? |

I totally let girls I know in on the fact I study pick-up. Half the time they then ask to borrow one of the books I have. I explain game theory to them. It's total chick crack. For instance, I was reading Gambler's book "The Natural Art of Seduction" in class a few times and girls came up and started asking me about it. It doesn't hurt that that book has a picture of Paris Hilton on the back cover. |
