Post subject:  Joking about marriage

Hey guys,
Straight to the point
Before Valentines day, we started joking about getting married (known her for a year only recently started to like her). We met up for lunch one day, purely platonic, talked about why I don't talk to a girl in our social circle anymore, and a range of topics. Times when there were silences but she tried her hardest to continue the conversation.

Anyway afterwards I joked that we didn't look at rings (something she started after I commented on how I thought of the best gift and how she'd actually like it so much she'd marry me, a bold and foolish move maybe, in which she replied with "you want me to marry you? Can I choose the ring?") and she said that we have plenty of time, and how we didn't even set the date.

I didn't bother to talk to her for a few days afterwards, but texted her after a few drinks on valentines day saying "happy singles appreciation day!" in which she replied something about so much to appreciate and how its so great to be single (a friend pointed out that, that sentence shows im in the friend zone) I asked if she was out, she replied yes and asked about myself, I replied back saying we should meet up, no reply, no big deal.

Anyway my usual strategy has been to not contact her and wait for her to contact me, and she always caves sooner or later, but I sense that I give off the vibe that I'm not interested by doing that. It should be based on a reward punishment system, where I reward her with attention when she deserves it, instead of cutting her off all the time and making her chase me.

I messaged her since she told me she was going to a wedding, but I wasn't sure of the precise date. She replied pretty much instantly saying she was going to the wedding and that she's going to ask for advice for ours, I reply with a personal joke.

Anyway, is there any chance or am I in the dreaded friendzone?

To be honest if it doesnt work out, I'll probably cut contact with her and that particular social circle, because I know they'll hassle me about why we're not talking or whatever if I fail.

Thanks In Advance!

Just my opinion, but whenever a girl jokes about marriage like that, after you've known her for a while, you're probably in the friendzone. She does this because you have all the qualities she says she wants (funny, nice guy), but not the ones she's actually attracted to (alpha stuff).

You make a good point.

What about the whole, projecting future images, role playing and time investment thing though? Surely that would play a part, and since we're already at that stage of comfort it would be easy to turn around (hmmmmmmmm)? Feel free to share your views

The way that I have gotten the girl that I was friends with was to start acting like we
were in a relationship.

Do the shit that a boyfriend / husband might do for her.

Just act like you two are in a relationship.

Sooner or later her subconscious mind will perceive it to be true, and she will actually
start acting like your girl / wife.

Whatever the mind perceives to be true, will make it true.

You can also have her thinking about you everytime she is doing something. To do
that, read on...

If you want her to think about you and her married or whatever, tell her this before
she goes to bed, brushes her teeth, etc.

"Try not to think about the two of us walking down the isle at our wedding, with
everything exactly the way you want it ... when you brush your teeth."

"Try not thinking about the two of us having very romantic sex ... while you sleep."

"Try not the think about me for the next 30 seconds." I can guarantee you that
you will be only thing on her mind for that entire 30 seconds.

The reason behind this wonderful phenom is that, if we are told NOT to think or
do something, aren't you going to think about that thing, or want to do that thing
out of defiance? Of course you are.

Females are easier because they really love to do the exact opposite of what they
are told to do or not to do.

Confusing or Genius... I'll let you decide :-)

Happy Trails

We'll she's a really visual person, I'm meaning to use that to my advantage, but haven't utilized NLP much.

Looking back at it, like myself she has been really inconsistent, but like I said, If it doesn't work out, oh well.
