Right so il begin with back story on myself. Growing up in a foreign country is never easy especially when its the other side of the world.
Im practically Scottish. I talk the langauge, (english) I speak the slang, I have the accent and I support my football team. (HEARTS!!)
But people always seem to look down on me and have no respect. Whatever way you look at it, asians are always made fun of racially or culturally. I guess society and films made asians look quiet and shy which in turn made them look weak.
People like to take the piss and make themself seem alpha infront of their mates. Of course I took this shit and as time went by, i stop being as social and basically stayed in every night just to avoid the embarressment. It hurts yano? I mean you just wanna fit in n have fun with your mates wherether having a party or just chilling but when you have this belief that everyone around your area thinks so lowly of you, you just go "why bother"?
It has affected me growing up and i have been quite depressed about it. Our parents always teached us to be polite, listen to adults and work hard in school so we can get a good job in the future. But they dont really understand what WE go through.
So heres the part where it doesnt sound like im suicidal
Pick up is THE NUMBER ONE REASON why i have gain so much coinfidence! I used to be hopeless at any social situations like even making small talk or asking simple questions. The girls aint flooding in yet but getting there
I just hope in the near future, asians arent all seen as geeks who wear glasses and have a obsession with our hair. (even though we do lol) PUAs like Grandma (give that man a cigar!) are slowly breaking the stereotype but it aint enough. SOCIETY HAS TO CHANGE!!
