Post subject:  Wingchick, where to start?

So, I have a friend who is uber shy and an afc. I really want to help him out, but he doesn't believe the PUA style works.
He's interested in a girl in his mechanic's class (@ cc) but he's too shy to approach. I advised him to start off by trying to sit next to her for the next couple of days. On the second or third day, to "accidentally" forget his pen/pencil, and ask her for one. I really just want him to get more comfortable with her being close and ease him into chatting her up. Now, do any of you have any suggestions I can pass along to help him out?
*note: I don not attend school with him, so I wouldn't be able to be a wing there.

Another thing... All my friends are guys, and all are afc's... and really not into the PUA thing. BUT, I am so tired of them whining and being so miserable. So do any of you think that I can be a more active wing woman and go beyond just opening sets? As a beginner-wingwoman, I really don't even know where to start. Any tips? :?:

Thanx.

You can lead a horse to water.

If you give a pickup book to a guy with no drive to get into pickup, nothing will happen.

Your AFC friends are comfortable with whining, failing with girls, and feeling negative emotions associated with being lonely virgins. They will not step out of that comfort zone until it gets so bad that they become truly uncomfortable with their situation.
