| Post subject: | The girl in the couch |
I was wonder how do I get a girl to dance with me in a small party type situation. The guy/girl ratio was off so my targets were limited to say the least. The girls was dancing in the couch next to her friend and it looked like it should have worked out good but it didn't. I approached with my hand out and a nod over my shoulder to let her know my intention was to dance with her. I was rejected with a no nod and hand motion. Should I have tried a different approach in that situation? Or tried to seat and talk to her to build a rapport after the rejection? |

neg her about her dancin skills, mock her with some weird moves( sprinkler, lawn mower) depending on if she is receptive or not then challenge her to a dance off. reason you were blown out is because NO initial contact was made, your opener was a dance invite. she knowns nothing about you. mockin her gets her attention, crazy dance moves shows her some of your personality. stack forward. just wondering, what were you doing before you approached her? did you gain any social proof or pre selection or were you seated on the couch yourself? never under estimate social proof and pre selection. |

I didn't pre select I justed jumped in. The term Pre select is new to me but there were a few girls at the party that I was friends with. I was tring to branch out from those girls onto something new but that didn't work. Before the approach I was standing a talking to the female friends that I know there. I was using my female friends as a warm up so a would be more comfortable when talking with the new girl. |
