When I listen to David D's material (Cocky Comedy) I picture this guy who's very high energy, bouncing all over the place meeting people but not giving a fuck in general. Joking around and being hyper, negging and teasing, VERY fun to be with if he's not coming off as annoying. But VERY VERY hyper. This can't be right. Is it? |

No sir, not right. Focus on being funny, cracking jokes whenever you see the opportunity. You shouldn't be hyper and bouncing off the walls, you should be laid back and chill, calm and collected.. at least thats the way I am, i've had numerous girls tell me i'm funny |

My take on it is this: joke around and be outgoing - do not be a monkey. That is when you won't be taken seriously and you risk being annoying. When it comes to energy levels, be upbeat and extroverted - do not act coked out though. I like being at a level slightly higher than her's. It's about calibration. If she's bubbly, take the energy up a bit. If she's really mellowed out, don't be bouncing off walls but still be that fun guy.

I agree. The guy seemed a bit A.D.D. and as much as he will get noticed, I know a few girls that will completely ignore and try put him down. However, nothing thrives like excess. |

ADD is a bullseye. That's exactly what it comes across as sometimes, because I used to hang out (sorta) with a bunch of kids who had ADD back in high school. So I model my behaviour around them subconsciously. However, nothing thrives like excess. @vegas : the calibration stuff got me thinking. Its a lot about rapport isnt it? |

you don't have to be jumpy, be cocky, and flirty, some girls just adore flirting and cocky/funny was made for them |

You have to put yourself at a level that reflects or leads her's. However, you have to be congruent with your actual current state of mind. If you're out and depressed, trying to come off as cheerful just to match her level may make you seem kind of awkward.
