| Post subject: | your first approach ever? Mine just happened |
I am seventeen years old in high school. There is this really good looking girl in one of my classes whom I had been very very interested in. I am a socially active guy, it is just that I am not very good with girls when it comes to approaching and such. So basically I suck with girls. I think I am a good looking guy who deserves more. Anyway on with the story. So I did not know about this pick up thing so I did a little experiment since it was my first approach. I talked to her a few times, but the conversation didn't really go anywhere. I started writing her sercret admirer letters with direct lines stating "I think you are beautiful". I did not write my name of course. And each day I put a little comment. It was until I had revealed myself and told her to meet me up at this place etc etc etc. When the day came I brought flowers and asked her to go to the homecoming dance. And of course I kind of expected it, she rejected me. I probably scared the shit out of her or something, but yeah it was my first approach and I will keep on working on it. So the things I did right: Started a conversation Attempt to make a move Direct lines The things I did wrong: Went too fast I should have got to know her more Create more attraction Wrote a letter NEXT TIME just talk to that person straight up (even though I have this approach anxiety, but working on it) So what do you guys think? And what were you first approaches like? |
