| Post subject: | Flakiness and odd texting behaviour |
First up, I'm quite new to the game, but I'm trying my best to correct bad habits I'd be grateful to any light you guys could shed on this situation. So there's this girl, right? We have a history, and I know there's some attraction present; we slept together recently, and had a couple of dates here and there. Nothing too serious. Oh, and she got majorly jealous when my ex turned up on new years eve, wouldn't believe that I didn't invite her, and we were just being sociable. I've done some pretty AFC moves with this girl in the past which has probably hurt my cause but I'm working to fix that. The problem is that she has the power over any dates that happen and exhibits some pretty rude behaviour in my opinion. An example of this would be when I messaged her to meet up last week. It was something along the lines of "Hey, hows things? Wanna hit the pool on sat?" Never got a reply. And yes, she had credit and ample opportunity to respond. She was just hanging with her ex at a music festival. She finally gets in contact when she finds out I've spent a few days in bed with a virus, shes concerned apparently. I call her back and we chat for a while. I make a pretty AFC move by asking when we can hang out. She says shes working all weekend, it'll have to be some other time. She messages me again this afternoon, asking how I'm doing. I tell her much better and ask how her shift was. Never get a reply. This has me stumped. My first idea was to comfront her about this, tell her that she either shows me some courtesy and reply or don't bother, but then my better judgement kicked in, and I've just gone with the flow. I figured she wants some space so I'm not even gonna acknowledge it. But I'm on the back foot here.. any suggestions on how to turn the tables? I want her to be chasing me. Right now, she's got all the power, when we meet up and when we chat. |
