| Post subject: | My First Attempt |
I finally attempted my first pick up on new years eve! I figured i would make sure i ended 2009 off on a good note! There was not many girls at the party and at the very beginning, i shrugged off the idea of trying it that night. I started chatting to a chick friend at the table but I was fairly quiet. My target sat at the same table during my period of quietness but I eventually got up and walked away for a while to clear my mind and to make it seem as if i was busy with other people. I then walked straight up, sat right next to her and opened with and outstretches "Heeey", she responded with saying hi.. Since she knew i hadn't really spoken to many girls that night, I said "You are the friendliest girl I've spoken to tonight, although i haven't spoken to everyone, so i may be wrong". She laughed and said something about how it must be because she is so loud. I teased her about her loudness, mentioned that I had to go pack a new Hubbly in a sec because no one else could do it properly. I then moved onto the "Psychic Game" where i said three and she laughed and said "Nooo, that didn't work at all" but in a joking way so i figured that i guessed right. I then moved onto Comfort but couldn't quite grasp the 'chase cycling' but ended up just talking with lots of teasing and kino. I tought her a handshake including the one where you act like an over the top gay which she said was so cute. In the end, I got her number quite easily but I am not sure if i pulled the whole the off right and if it was enough to get her interested in me. I would appreciate any critique and advice Regards Sugarfree |

Sounds like a good opening to me but there a few things you need to keep in mind in a party SPAM. Honestly, you played the beginning completely wrong. You were at a friend's house correct? Should have been opening up the entire room. I usually walk in like I own the place when I go to a friend's party and the first thing I do is approach the first set on the way to my friends. Not necesarily women, but whatever group is in my way I'll go in: flares firing and C/F right away. After I break off and go greet my friends; after-all that's why I came in the first place; we catch up and then it's time to work the room. Grab a drink or two but maintain control, approach everybody. Parties should be fun man, you should keep this in mind: this is often the lowest stress situation to meet women and you really need to not build it up. One thing about parties the whole SPAM is casual: everyone is there for a good time so openings are often easier. Overall you did well, especially for your first try, but in the future keep the SPAM in mind and calibrate appropriately. |

I did in fact warm up to the environment after the initial opening and tended to b very friendly to everyone there including dancing with other groups of ppl.. But il definately walk into the next party with my game face on and not hesitate. |
