Post subject:  I want to ask out a friend of mine... i need a little help!

I'm friends with this girl who I am attracted to. We def are not in the friend zone, but as a group we hang out pretty often. A friend of hers told me to ask her out.

Last night we were at a wedding and we didn't really get a chance to talk.
So I text her today this is how it went. We'll call her Jennifer Smith:

Me: Jennifer Smith
Me: where were u all night?
Jenn: On the dance floor
Jenn: You were probably at the bar
Me: I was still recovering from saturday nigght
Jenn: lol you were still drunk
Me: More like exhausted
Me: Yo i feel like im planning a wedding with this NYE party

Thats the end of it. She didn't respond and its been about an hour. We both have blackberrys so i can see if she read it, and she did.

Any advice as to what I should do next.

Thanks

My only advice is that you shouldn't have texted her. Her friend told you to ask her out probably because Jennifer Smith said something to her about it. She's probably mad you didnt make your move at the wedding where she was probably horny as f***. A phone call would have been more appropriate. Thats all i got.

this could help too

You should have asked her out like your friend told you to.

Also, for a peice of mind, try not to get drunk when you go out. You lose all control of your game if you do and to some girls that is not attractive.

That last text message you sent, makes no sense at all. What are you trying to tell her with the comment "Yo i feel like im planning a wedding with this NYE party "? You need to be direct with her, don't let her try to figure out what you are saying.

Girls won't tell you to ask another girl out unless they have already been talking about it. Think about it. This girls knows that you know... So get to the point with her and ask her out. Maybe ask her out to fix that last text message you sent.

Best,

J-Dub

The last text was written because i'm throwing a nye party and she knows That.

I can see how i messed up. What can i do now to save it, and how can i do it? If im going to ask her out should i text or call now?

Call and call now before its too late.

While on the phone, act as if you never texted her to begin with and just ask her out. If she knows you are having a NYE party, then make sure you invite her to come if you haven't done so already.

That whole 'planning a wedding' phrase in that last text message is what is throwing me off. It makes absolutely no sense to me even though I know both of you went to a wedding reception, etc.

Let us know how it works out.

I think the whole wedding thing is to exaggerate how much of a hassel it is to put together his NYE party. It makes sense, but I wouldnt have used it.

I agree with J-Dub though that you need to call!

I just asked her out. Did not work out well, but it was out of my control

She told me that she was seeing someone else, and asked me to keep it confidential. So her friend who told me to ask her out probably didn't know.

It sucks cause now i feel like crap.

anyways thanks for the help
