Ive been asked to a x-mas dinner by a recently divorced charming woman colleague and I know that Im #2 on her target list....She's holding out for the other guy (who keeps her as a friend)... Ive asked her for a closer relationship but she says she not ready. Although I know she would gladly jump in the sack with the other guy.... I wont go to the dinner and let myself be tortured. What can I say to bait her and let her know that I wont be coming to her party... I ready for her to chase me , its either that or I just completely walk away because Im too 'hooked' 1) "call me when you want to go out sometime" 2) I have another more important gathering to go to 3) Im going to take the time to relax at home. 4) I promised a friend I would help him at his art gallery that night 5) I have another date 6) I have another committment 7) Call me if your interested in a romantic relationship 9 I feel too rejected when Im around you. thanks for asking though CG |

Hey coreykeith! if she knows your interested and youve made a pass which shes sidepassed for now, i say make her think youve moved on and have another date, as then shell think shes missed her chance and maybe left with 0 options if it aint happening with the other guy. Then when you see her next and if she asked how the other date went, say something like "ah she was way too smothering even on the first date" If she knows you like her it will open you up as an even better possibility and makes you look not too pushy. Last thing you wanna do if try and force her to make you her no1, itll only make you look like the pushy one. Thats my opinion! Hope it all works out Rorey |

I wouldn't even say the 'date' part. I would just say 'I can't make it because I have other plans'. That will really keep her in the dark. The 'other plans' could be anything. Keeps them guessing. If she asks what your plans are, just tell her you have to go and will talk to her later. Keep the ball in your court so to speak. But to be honest with you, move on to someone else. You don't want to be on the back-burner in any relationship or anyone you are currently pursuing. Best, J-Dub |
