| Post subject: | Cancelling Plans for a Chick |
Ok, to start with I organize a couple clubs on meetup.com so I set up a NYE event for those clubs. I've been seeing this girl for a few weeks now, and I asked her out for NYE obviously. Her answer was a resounding "maybe." Apparently one of her friends had pointed out a masquerade ball that she really, really wants to go to. As we were talking (via text) I got the idea she was hinting that she wants me to take her to the masquerade thing. (e.g. "C'mon don't you think it would be really hot to kiss someone in a mask?" ) The only problem is that I've got those parties scheduled for my clubs. Which is annoying since no one has shown much interest so far... So the question is, would it be a total AFC move to cancel my plans to take her to the ball? Or am I going overboard on the "don't do everything she wants" scale? Honestly, I'd almost rather go to the ball too... sounds more interesting/unique than the party I scheduled. |

You can cancel it, but just dont let her know that you canceled it for her! Tell her something like "my friends from marketing fucked up and they didnt promote enough so we're gonna have to cancel the parties, I might have time to join you to your masked ball" |

Chillburg said it best; yoo can change plans, but don't let her know that it's because of her. That would be telegraphing to much interest in her-beta male like. Plus it kind of depends on the level and what you're after. If you're just after friendship,well-tell her you'd changed your mind because of her.But if its early stages of seduction, don't change plans at all.If you are sure to F'Close her after the masquerade[if that's what you're after]-well go,but pay it off as though you planned on going before. |

Ok, we had dinner tonight and I tried to lay the groundwork... mentioned no one was signing up and that it was annoying since the other thing actually sounded more interesting and unique. No one was still signed up when I got home, so I cancelled the events and offered to take her to the other party. Thanks for the advice guys! |
