Post subject:  Mystery's Newbie drill

Mystery is my all time favorite PUA but there's only one thing I respectfully disagree with is his Newbie's drill. Going out four nights a week 12 approaches per night, 48 approaches per week. I can imagine this can be very useful for people who never used to go out at all, and for those who live in the big cities. (population larger than 200,000). But for me Im living in Wellington and there's only one street for clubing I double sarged the same targets without recognizing them quite a few times already over the last 6 months. I think approaching every 20 mins can make you look like a creepy guy in the bar. As for people in their early 20s, this drill can easily consume their life and turn them into social robots. Sometime 3 seconds rule ruins the logistic of the approach (eg. dance floor, moving targets, approaching from behind). From my experience I noticed there're certain variables and timing which maximise the chance of a sucessful approach. I rather prefer moderate numbers of approaches with quality practice. I first started 8 months ago with 30 days challenge from Rules of the game (by Style) then field testing routines from different books and forums. I can now choose my target and hook them. Usually I go out 2-3 nights a week and 5 sets each night. I do still get rejections at times but the success rate is very satisfying.

I agree it doesn't make sense to me to go out sarging 4 nights a week when I think the best chances of seeing the most people are Fridays and Saturdays.

In clubs Thursday, Friday, Saturdays are your best bet. However you can approach and meet people any night of the week at book stores, malls, coffee shops, etc. It doesn't always have to be about "sarging" either, just getting out of the house and approaching/meeting people will help lower your AA for the future.
