Post subject:  FIELD REPORT - SUCCESSFUL NIGHT
Hey PUAs,

I went out last night to my school's semi-formal - basically the biggest dance of the year (bigger than prom because everyone can go, even from other schools and you don't need a date). I went solo (no date) cause I wanted to be able to play the field.

My goal for last night: have fun and talk to everyone.

At my current level of game, having a goal of kiss closing a girl would just lead to disappointment. I'm not at the level that I can just go out and kiss close any girl. So I set a realistic goal that is attainable.

[Recently I have been totally out of it - every day I am inside my own head thinking about my game, and simply just trying too hard to be noticed, to be funny, to be smooth, etc. And last night fixed that.]

I read a little about dancefloor game in the thread in the Approaching and Opening section, then got ready (made myself look good, felt like a million bucks) then went out to the dance. Right when I got in there I went straight to the floor and started dancing (no matter how bad I am: my only dance move is basically a hip thrust). People loved it though.

I was high energy the whole night, and I talked to everyone. Most of it was just short conversations, but I talked to everybody, and that was one of my goals.

My buddy had these white gloves he was wearing, so he gave me one and I wore it like Michael Jackson (a little bit of peacocking there - a little bit). A couple times I went up to groups of girls I didn't know and did this little routine:

Sharp: Is it weird that I have just one glove on? / Do you think this adds to my style? / What do you think of one glove? etc.

Girls: Haha no its cool! / Of course it adds to your style it looks so good hahaha / Its different... I like it! etc.

This would open them up to a little conversation. Nothing too much, just some small talk really. But it made me feel good that I was opening.

[Another little thing I did was I shook everyone's hand, usually with my glove hand (pretty much everyone I saw that I knew). Then they would notice the glove and we'd talk about it.]

There were pictures at the dance too (usually of dates) so I got in line and asked these random girls if they wanted a picture with me:

Sharp: Hey girls, I don't have a date. Will one of you pretend to be?

Girls: Haha yeah sure i guess! why not

Then went on from here, I don't quite remember what exactly was said (there wasn't too much / any scripted material I used last night: just basic principles of game and a few negs here and there.

MAIN QUESTION: I was super high energy last night. I went around talking to everyone, and this made me hyper as shit, which is a good thing because it pumped me up and got rid of any of my AA that I had before. But can high energy falter your game? It seemed like I was the 'Fun Sociable Guy' all night - but girls don't usually hook up with the 'fun sociable guy', they hook up with 'the seducer' - the guy who is smooth talking them and is calm and relaxed. I was the opposite of calm and relaxed last night - I was hyper and excited and fun.

To give you a better idea, a couple people asked me if I was drunk / high last night. You know how when your drunk you become more sociable and talk to everyone and get all hyped up and high energy? That was me last night. I was drunk off the SPAM, though, not alcohol.

Alright well to sum up: I reached both my goals; I had a fun night and I talked to EVERYONE (save a few people, but the majority was really my goal). Successful night in my opinion.
