So this chick I've been gaming may or may not have been hinting for me to show up somewhere she's gonna be at the weekend, although it wasn't an invite as such. She was at this same place last week, while there text me and eventually mentioned how I should go too. I did, things went good etc etc. However, she needed a raincheck for a date earlier in the week and after apologising she says 'Ill redeem myself! Ill be more sober than you on sunday :p ' Not quite knowing what she meant I asked how she'll be more sober than me on sunday and she said 'cos I'm going to X (the place we met the week previous) again and possibly going to Y after..but Ill stay sober and no doubt youll head out for a drink........... So I didn't quite pick that up as an invite at the time, maybe I should have? But I replied by telling her I probably wouldn't be out on sunday as one of my bro's has flown out of town and my others are working that day, I said something like 'I could go on my own but that isnt rock and roll at all haha' She answered with 'then ok, ill be drunker than you... promise not to ring you after Y ha!'. Possibly missed out on the IOI there, but regardless here's the thing: This place will be quite busy and full of people from my town, so it'll be quite close knit. It's likely I could walk in and hypothetically even if she isnt there, I could get talking to people I know anyway, although not neccessarily people I ever plan nights out with so I wouldn't exactly be 'hanging out' with these guys, rather sharing some temporary conversation when we meet. Given that she will be there, I'm sure when I see her we'll spend a good bit of time together, although there is the situation of 'who did you come with?' and not being able to say I turned up alone. How should I play this? Should I go at all? I've thought of just leaving it, but it would be good to get some decent game time in, we've both been busy lately, making that otherwise difficult. |

when the question of who you came with --just lie if you can--i turned up with bla bla but he had to go bla bla Theres one thing ive noticed in general about people and especially women who go on and on about how much they drink or how drunk they got ---is that that is all theve really got going on---they are usually pretty boring and empty underneath it all and the drink is used as a crutch. Ive met a couple of them that are big into drink -drink and ive found that that is all they want to do---when your with them a while and you want to go to the cinema or suggest going hillwalking ,bungie jumping, bowling or anything other than the pub you get---''nah what ya wanna do that for cant we just go for a drink at the pub''--personally i find the pub scene ok but not all the time if you have one that wont go anywhere else its pretty boring |

Yeah I actually agree with that. Seems most young women are like that, they put too much of their focus on it. In this case the whole being drunk thing came up as 2 times Iv bumped into her shes been pretty drunk and was worried she'd given me a bad impression haha, I think she was looking forward to hearing about me being drunk at some point so she didn't feel as bad. |
