Acronyms:

The following is a list of common terms and acronyms seen on Mystery's Forum as well as the pickup/seduction community in general.

A1 - An old acronym, no longer commonly-used on The Attraction Forums, to refer to Approaching. The process is simply called “Opening” or “Approaching” today in the Emotional Progression Model.

A2 - Sometimes called “female-to-male interest,” A2 is an old acronym, no longer commonly-used on the Attraction Forums, that refers to the process of attracting a woman. The process is simply called “Attraction” today in the Emotional Progression Model.

A3 - Sometimes called “male-to-female interest,” A2 is an old acronym, no longer commonly-used on The Attraction Forums, that refers to the process of qualifying a woman. The process is simply called “Qualification” today in the Emotional Progression Model.

AA - Approach Anxiety. When you are too nervous to walk up to a woman you don’t know and start talking to her. Strategies to solve this begin on page 60 of Magic Bullets. Also check out this article by Cedar and this article by Harlequin. Volume One of the Love Systems’ Interview Series “Opening and Transitioning by Sinn and Savoy” (CD version here; immediate download here) also covers this. Finally, Brad P. of Brad P. Presents! has a full mini-program on approach anxiety that has been known to solve difficult cases.

AC - Approach Coach – an old term for junior instructors with The Mystery Method.

AFC - Average Frustrated Chump. Otherwise known as "the nice guy" – someone who is not currently successful with women.

AI - Approach Invitation. See page 49 of Magic Bullets.

AMOG - Alpha Male Other Guy, or Alpha Male Of the Group. A competitor for Alpha Male within a given set. Volume Seven of the Love Systems’ Interview Series by Future and Moxie focuses exclusively on “Obstacles and Other Men” (CD version here; immediate download here) and is a great resource for this.

aPUA - Aspiring Pick-Up Artist.

ASD - Anti-Slut Defense – when a woman hesitates to do something she would otherwise like to do because she doesn’t want to feel like or be perceived by others as “a slut.” See Chapter 10 (Seduction) of Magic Bullets as well as Love Systems’ Interview Series interview on “Seduction” by Tenmagnet and Sinn (CD version here; immediate download here) are the best resources for dealing with ASD.

BC - Bootcamp. See a description of a Love Systems’ bootcamp here and the Love Systems’ schedule here.

BF - Boyfriend. See page 62 of Magic Bullets

BF destroyer, BF destruction - Any tool or routine used to undermine the confidence your target has in her boyfriend.

BHRR - Bait/Hook/Reel/Release. A key component of the “Qualification Phase.” If you don’t know what the Qualification Phase is, check out the free download of the Emotional Progression Model, available in the Love Systems’ Free Publications Library. Qualification is covered in Chapter 8 (Qualification) of Magic Bullets (page 156 deals with Bait/Hook/Reel/Release specifically). BT - Buying Temperature.

C1 - Sometimes called “conversation,” C1 is an old acronym, no longer commonly-used on the Attraction Forums, that refers to the process of initially building comfort with a woman. The process is simply called “Comfort” today in the Emotional Progression Model.

C2 - Sometimes called “deep comfort,” C2 is an old acronym, no longer commonly-used on the Attraction Forums, that refers to the process to the mid-point of the comfort-building process with a woman, often in a different location than the one in which you and her first met. The process is simply called “Comfort” today in the Emotional Progression Model.

C3 - Sometimes called “comfort in the sex location,” C3 is an old acronym, no longer commonly-used on the Attraction Forums. Today in the Emotional Progression Model, the Comfort phase is over and the Seduction phase begins as soon as you have kissed a woman and are alone with her in a location in which sex could reasonably happen.

CB - Cock-block.

C/F - Cocky & funny. Cocky and funny was a term coined by David Deangelo, and is a confident type of humor that has a arrogant undertones.

Close, @close, #close, k-close, f-close - The process of “closing” a woman. An f-close is a sexual encounter. @close is getting her email address, a #close is her phone number, a k-close is a kiss.

DAFS - Do A (Fucking) Search. Learn how to use the forum's Search Function here.

DHV - Demonstration of Higher Value. Showing a woman (and usually her group) that you have more going for you than the average man. These usually involve hitting some of the common female attraction triggers (as explained in Magic Bullets Chapter 7 (Attraction). DLV - Demonstration of Lower Value. This is usually a bad thing, unless it is delivered in an ironic tone, in which case it is a DHV.

EC - Eye Contact.

FB - Fuck-Buddy, or Friends With Benefits. Otherwise known as a casual, no-strings-attached sexual relationship.

FMR - First-Minute Resistance. More commonly known as Approach Anxiety.

FR - Field Report. See the Field Reports subforum here.

FT - Field Test.

FTC - False Time Constraint. An important element when you first approach a woman you don’t know. See page 53 of the Magic Bullets. Volume One of the Love Systems’ Interview Series “Opening and Transitioning by Sinn and Savoy” (CD version here; immediate download here) also covers this.

GF - Girlfriend.

GFTOW - Go Fuck Ten Other Women. Some users on The Attraction Forums have suggested this as a cure for an unhealthy obsession with one particular woman.

HB - Hot Babe. Sometimes seen with a number at the end (e.g., “HB8”) to provide a rough shorthand for the writer’s impression of a woman’s looks on a scale of 1-10.

IOD - Indicator of Disinterest. This is an ungrammatical term to mean the opposite of an Indicator of Interest (IOI)

IOI - Indicator of Interest. A sign that a woman is attracted to you. See Magic Bullets, Chapter 7 (Attraction) for a comprehensive SPAM of this.

IVS - The Love Systems’ Interview Series. Every month, two or more senior instructors discuss a specific advanced topic in dating science and this is boiled down to an approximately one-hour interview with the most powerful and easy-to-use insights. Many Love Systems’ instructors credit the Interview Series with significant help on the road to becoming an instructor and most men who have become successful studying this material are subscribers. Kino - Abbreviated form of "Kinesthetic," a Neuro-Linguistic Programming term for physical touch. Physical progression is vitally important and is covered in significant detail in Chapter 15 (Physical Progression) of Magic Bullets as well as in the Love Systems’ Interview Series interview on “Physical Progression and Kissing” by Sinn and The Don (CD version here; immediate download here).

KJ - Keyboard Jockey.

LJBF - “Let's Just Be Friends.” The dreaded words you will often hear when you get the elements of the Emotional Progression Model out of order or when you think you are in a later phase with a woman than you really are. It can also occur when you progress emotionally but not physically and a woman’s sexual attraction to you dissipates.

LMR - Last-Minute Resistance. Chapter 10 (Seduction) of Magic Bullets as well as Love Systems’ Interview Series interview on “Seduction” by Tenmagnet and Sinn (CD version here; immediate download here) are the best resources for dealing with LMR.

LR - Lay Report. See the Field Reports subforum here.

LS - Love Systems. The Love Systems website is at www.LoveSystems.com.

LSI - Love Systems’ Insider, the #1 free resource for dating strategies online, which usually comes out every week and is always a hot topic for discussion on The Attraction Forums. Go to www.LoveSystems.com and go to the top-left hand corner to sign up.

LSRM - The Love Systems’ Routines Manual; a couple hundred pages of the best “lines,” stories, openers, and other things to do to succeed with women. Each routine is also introduced with a discussion of when you would use it (e.g., to open, to create attraction, to transition, etc.), what type of women respond best to it, what you would say immediately before and after, and what to do with some common responses that women may give to each one.

LTR - Long-Term Relationship. An exclusive girlfriend.

MB - Magic Bullets. The Magic Bullets website is www.MagicBulletsBook.com.

MLTR - Multiple Long-Term Relationship. A non-exclusive girlfriend.

MM / TMM - The Mystery Method.

mPUA - Master Pick-Up Artist.

Neg - A disqualification tool (IOD) used to falsely eliminate you as a potential suitor for your desired target. See Chapter 7 (Attraction) of Magic Bullets for an overview of disqualification, and see the Love Systems’ Routines Manual for a list of useful disqualification statements.

OAP - Online Apprenticeship Program. This is The Mystery Method's excellent free newsletter. Go to www.TheMysteryMethod.com and sign up for it in the top left-hand corner of the home page.

RTFM - Read The (Fucking) Manual. Often said to other forum members who disregard doing prior research before posting their common question. Commonly a reference to check Magic Bullets for the answer.

Thanks for putting these up but there are actual several posts that are very complete with all the pickup acronyms in the Newbie section.
