First off, it's good you had the energy and confidence to open lots of sets. That's a good start. However, look at what you just wrote "my glasses were TAKEN by girls". To me that looks like you're not being nearly alpha-dominant enough. You should be giving the glasses/hat to girls as a lock in prop so you can re-engage the set later. If they're taking shit off of you then they know they can walk all over you and disrespect you and you'll take it. Rather than you asserting your higher value over THEM, they're asserting their higher value over YOU. Other sets will notice this and that'll make it harder to actually hook them because you're going into the next set with a lowered value.Help me out guys because I'm feeling down
If you like the idea of opening lots of sets in a night, then try what Adam Lyons does. He opens multiple sets on his way into the place just asking functional openers like "do you guys know where the toilets are?" "is this the only bar or is there an upstairs?" "is this DJ X playing now?" etc. Just get the answer, introduce yourself quickly, and eject. If you do that with lots of sets initially, then when you approach those 2 HB10s, suddenly everyone in the club is looking at you, and you've RAISED your value before entering the set "who IS this guy who everyone in the place knows?" Also you can then re-engage those sets you initially opened and they will be "warm" rather than "cold" approaches because they already know and recognise you.
Finally, just remember some of the basics. I got blown out of a couple of sets early on last night and I was like "fuck man that was supposed to be an easy practice set to get me going...wtf" until I realised I'd forgotten to use a false time constraint...duh! If you don't say "I need to get back to my friends" or something early on, then even if things are going seemingly well, they're always thinking "when is this guy gonna piss off" in the back of their minds the whole time. Similarly, sometimes you're so eager to get in and open a set you forget that you're supposed to be casually opening over the shoulder, with body language facing away from the set first, and then locking in when you hook. If you go in there with some crazy opener and are all fun and games, but all your energy is pointed directly into the set from the first word, it's like "WOW man, back the fuck up a second"...rather than "haha yeah that is pretty funny...tell me more
