Scenario:
What if a woman you slept with got pregnant by you. She told you very early in her pregnancy that she wanted to keep this child, and go after you for child support. You told her that you didn't want anything to do with her or the child, it was just a one off accident!

Now this woman is not your idle partner, just some one you met in the club and had a one night stand with.

Is it fair for you to pay child support, if you want nothing to do with her?

No - Men should be allowed to pull out if the woman is in the early stages of her pregnancy and cut themselves off from any legal or future engagement.

Yes - Its fair, men should take more care and responsible to start with!

If she kept the child, then after a DNA/blood test to PROVE it's mine, then yes I would pay to help support it (it is both ethically required and legally required for very good reasons).

As for yor question, I would let her have the baby, and then I would feed it to my pet crocodile Steve!

no. she made the choice to both let the baby be born and to not put it up for adoption. thats HER choice. It's not like I tricked her into getting pregnant and then decided to walk away.

Its only a scenario! :).

Just letting you guys know that a man is responsible regardless. If she decides to keep it and doesn't want a abortion, you have to pay.

and besides. in modern day times child support is only 'required' when the mother is incapable of paying for the child herself at all, or the father still wants to be allowed to visit the kid.

No, child support is mandatory regardless. Men have very little rights or say!
