| Post subject: | Drunk Texting |
I'm beginning to think I should stop texting when drinking or after drinking. I think I have a tendency to be too open, and pretty easily say the wrong things. For instance, I was at a small house party with this girl who has a boyfriend, but I'm 90% sure she is into me. Went to leave and she hops into the bed in her second bedroom and forces me to climb in with her to "check it out," and convince me to stay instead of driving home. I made a joke about my bed being bigger and softer (which she knows) and after a little rubbing of her legs and hips say I'd better get going. I'm amazed that she's even being that forward with her boyfriend in the next room, but hey... she can be impulsive. Anyway, I get about halfway home and get a text from her worrying about me getting home safe. I feel like I should have just let her worry for the night, but here's what actually happened: 2:14 Her: Are you home safely yet? I hope your okay! 2:17 Me: Almost... don't you have better things to be thinking about? 2:18 Her: No 2:27 Me: You can't be that drunk. I'm home though so you can stop worrying... 2:33 Me: See, I knew it... you stopped worrying already 2:34 Her: NO! I totally read that! I just figured you were going to pass out now 2:35 Me: I'm probably not as drunk as you think... still think it's odd I'm the one you're worrying about though So yeah, I feel like I was too obvious there... and I'm wondering if people in general think it's just a good idea to avoid texting after a couple drinks? |

i don't see the issue. your example showed HER being more open drunk. you still weren't open at all. I've never had any times when I was drunk texting thigns i regretted. one time I was drunk texting this chick who my friend was kinda going after and it started getting hella sexual (per my leading) that was fucking hilarious. |

well if you subtly wanted her to no your feelings but never said anything before , then the drink was a help |

You think? I felt like being worried that she hadn't replied was too needy and that the parting shot was, I don't know... maybe too direct in pointing out she was worrying about me when she should have been fucking her boyfriend or something. Or even completely unnecessary...your example showed HER being more open drunk. you still weren't open at all. I'm just not good at subtle... That was another text that I probably could have handled better: Me: Sorry if I was acting weird tonight Her: It's ok, what with Bob egging you on and all Me: I wish I could blame it on him... |

How does that work? I'm pretty terrible at innuendo...
I didn't use innuendo. I just made it sexual by talking about her and I casually fucking on the hood of her car.
