How can you be a Straightedge PUA?

Post subject:  How can you be a Straightedge PUA?
So there's the question...
I'm straightedge, but my goal is to be the ultimate PUA.
I guess I have some questions (some may sound dumb but whatev)

1) Is "taking advantage" of a girl still wrong?
- I am always sober but anytime I meet girls at parties they're usually drinking or something. So in the PUA community is hooking up with her looked down upon?

2) Where are good spots to meet girls other than parties/clubs since drinking is always happening there?
- I know some places, such as shows or the mall or my university. Bars are outta the question, I'm only 20 :?

3) How can you prevent being Edge from messing up your game?
- I'm not ashamed of being Edge, rather proud actually, but many times it'll create awkwardness between the girl and I, as in we're on two completely different levels of existence, so she instantly puts up a shield or thinks differently of me. Even though most peoples' responses to me being Edge is "Wow, that's amazing. That's very admirable." (maybe it's a DHV actually?)

I have SO MANY questions about so many different topics so we'll start with this and see where it goes. Thanks :)

Well regarding the drinking question, you just gotta learn how to be a sociable and fun guy without the use of alcohol (which in the long run is probably a good thing anyway if you think about it)

I myself have been sober for three years more or less, still have the odd pint but no going OTT. Basically medical reasons rather than a lifestyle choice but in the long run I think it could work to my advantage.

Well the club thing has been talked about in another thread, there are plenty of other places to meet girls, but honestly, I didn't used to like clubs at all, but since been to a few and learnt to enjoy them. I think its a matter of de-sensitization.

Thanks man.
I'd say the issue with being Edge isn't anything to do with me though. I'm able to be lively and have a fun time without alcohol, and people enjoy my company whether they're drinking or not. It's just the fact that the Target is drinking that causes the possible problems.

only if she's like so totally wasted she'd even go home with an axe murderer. but at that point, hopefully she'd have some friends that can keep her safe.

beach, book store, EVERYWHERE. women go pretty much everywhere right?

I've never heard of it messing up anyones game unless they're uncomfortable about it.




but personally, I dont' like the whole idea of 'straight-edge' since it gives the impression that you're doing it for reasons other than yourself and that you look down on those that do use influential chemicals. like I'm technically 'straight-edge' but I would never call myself that, because this is a decision I made due to the fact I don't particularly enjoy drugs or alcohol.

Why do you label yourself?

Oh, I'm Edge, yeah dude I'm so cool.

Point is, don't label yourself or other people.

If you do not enjoy drinking or doing drugs, don't associate yourself with people who look down upon that - those are low-class girls any ways.

If a girl doesn't appreciate the fact that I do not smoke, drink, or do drugs AT ALL, then I can go to the... millions of others willing to!

Don't limit yourself to what people think, if you're confident in being sober, girls will appreciate that.

Besides, girls of quality like men of quality and/or mature men.

What's wrong with drinking/smoking weed every now and then? I don't do it, but studies show that drinking wine, etc, once a month or so can reduce the risk of heart disease, which is the leading cause of death.

Same with Marijuana use in the fact that it does not damage you AT ALL if you smoke once a month or every 2 weeks.


Go out there and have fun and be the best self you can be and people won't care.

I tell amazingly hot girls I don't drink or smoke even if I know that's the only way to get in their pants. And I still get in their pants ;)

I thought this too, I thought it was nothing that is bad for your body, cigarettes, caffeine, alcohol of any other drugs and no casual sex.

i don't think it's about what's bad for your body, but what is seen as wrong, or 'impure'
