I've been gaming this goth girl recently and she seems to have a rather negative outlook on life. She whines about often, and phrases like "my weekend was siht" or "life sucks" are very common from her. Obviously this is not someone I'd want to be involved for long but I'm curious how I could neg her if she ever says something like that again? |

Yeah, Idk if there would be a need to neg her if she's talking about life sucking all of the time. |

When ever a girl begins to complain to me about her life or current situations, I usually try to not associate myself with those negative feelings. You want to become an option to her, don't be a Dr. Phil / friend. To change her mood and associate myself with positive emotion, I take the lead similar to this: Girl: Life sucks. Today was absolutely horrible because (insert reason)... Vegas: You know what you need? You need to get out and go have some fun! Tomorrow night we're going to (insert party/bar/club/somewhere fun...) and I won't take no for an answer! I wouldn't neg her here because she is obviously upset about something and the last thing she needs is another downer, even if it is done in a joking manner. I've recently done just this and it worked out fine for me. |
