magnum, instead of just saying "its all shit" i'd appreciate if you could go through and make a detailed list of what specifically is shit and why it is shit, so we can come to some kind of an understanding.

List of shit the PUA forum will fill in your head.

You have to get laid inorder to be successful.

You have to follow routins and games if you don't know what to do.

You need to work together to score with a girl. Teamwork!

Women are just objects but we PUA don't treat them like that. We treat them like fuck buddies because we are nice to them and their feelings.

Self improvement comes as a consiquence of being in a happy relationship.

Then end goal is to get a girl to be happy.

The successive PUA's use routins and stragety, therefore, we have to use routins and stragety to be like the Masters!

The masters of this game are lost fools who don't know the meaning of life, and they accept themselves as being the underdogs of society. Well I don't want to have a role model who is an underdog.

My list of good things to try to accomplish:

A wife with children.

A stable career.

A healthy realtionship with family and neighbors.

A respectful position in my job.

This PUA mentality changes the way you look at women and keeps you looking at them like a tool.

Sure it is O.K to fuck a girl, but when you are O.K. to just fuck any girl you will never fall in love. There is something to LOVE that requires trust. And PUA's are not very trustworthy because they don't commit. And when they do commit they are not stable.

This is a very quick summary. I don't have a lot of time to make this politically correct.

Lots of mentions of number/kiss closes as success stories dispel that one immediately. Success is defined as getting what you want from a girl, and that varies by person. F-Close is just a popular stopping point.

I don't really know where you're coming from on this one either. I don't see that being advocated anyway, though I will admit seeing the phrase "leave them better than you found them" frequently.

I'm betting most of us have ended up here because we failed utterly while being ourselves. The "masters" all used strategy and routines as training wheels, and moved beyond those as they improved, felt better about themselves and improved their social skills.

This is not dissimilar to katas in martial arts, you are learning a set of moves but that just teaches you the basic movements so that when you need them you have the individual components internalized.

This is how human learning works.

Dude, I don't think everyone wants to become a 'PUA' as such nor view women as 'objects'.
Some of us would just like to be able to increase our chances and accrue more choice in life.
We would like to be able to achieve some of the things that others achieve and gain more knowledge and understanding about what we want in order to be able to have those choices.
There's no way in hell I can adopt the mentality that 'I want to fuck loads of bitches' when I can't even get one girl.
Everyone has to start somewhere, especially me as I'm an old guy and have been a 'newbie' for over three and a half years now.
I have never had the intention of being a 'PUA' (regardless of the forum name) and would just like to be able to attract women into my life.

Alright buddy I am glad you posted. Why don't you look at yourself in the mirror and say "I love you" Then stare deeply in your eyes for about 15 seconds. Do this every night for about 30 days. Afterward you will feel like a different person.

If you can overcome the fear that this will bring. That is the secret. You have to overcome your mind playing tricks on you.

You need to accept yourself for who you are. You don't need to change your personality. You need to change how you view your personality. Be positive and loving of yourself and you will see results.

This PUA lifestyle will only lead you into darkness. Focus on self help and you won't be ashamed to say I am reading a self help book, but a lot of us here are ashamed to say we are PUA's and that is destructive to our internal image.

Have you ever seen a doctor about your problem? The scariest thing for me was looking for a doctor to help me with my negative belief about myself. After I saw one for 6 months I realized there was nothing wrong with me... ever.

Ah, but I wasn't talking about me. I do want to get married and have kids. The problem is that 15 years of being myself and waiting to meet that special someone haven't worked. Now I know I need training wheels.

Of course, that's not what you're saying either. You're busy judging people and putting them down for trying to improve themselves. For doing things in a way you didn't.

I suspect it's mostly because I never bothered talking to anyone.

And it wasn't "the" girl, it was _any_ girl.
