Post subject:  Strange behaviour - spot my mistake
met a girl in a club a few months ago, were chatting on Facebook and the odd mobile text msg here and there, eventually decided to meet up with her after breaking up with my girlfriend for good, Met up with her at a bar. things went well, teased her the whole night, had good conversation, played some pool, eventually kissed closed (a few times). Seemed very into me.

the following evening (about 10pm at night) i dropped her a msg saying it was good to finally meet you out, said some teasing comment and then asked how her day at work was. She sent a fairly long text msg telling me about her day and then asked how mine was....i replied,nothign major, said we should maybe meet up for some pool again some time so i can kick her ass etc.

got no reply back...then an hour later i sent another one (cringe) just confirming if she got my msg. still no reply. its been a full day since and i havent sent anything more to her, i think 3 msg's would be pushing it! trying to figure out what it was i did wrong? i kinda got to know her fairly well over the months (not in person but rather the odd phone call and mainly on facebook) and she didnt seem like the type to ask how my day was and then never reply again, plus she seemed really into me.

any idea's what i can do to get her to bite? im hoping she just ran out of mobile air time. :) doubt it tho

ps. she's 18 and im 28...shes pretty dam mature for her age though else i wouldnt be gaming her.

Hey man, sounds like you did have her hooked. Did you say anything back to her about her day, or just say 'hey mine was cool, lets meet up again' Maybe you could have built a little comfort or interest inquiring further into her day before trying to ask to meet up again.

Yeah the follow up text 'Did you get my message?' Sorry never a good idea. This is how I explain it to my friends that ask me if they should redial and what not. 'Dude she has a phone, you called and left a message. Her phone works, you blew your load that's it. She will call you back' If you don't hear back from her it wasn't necessarily your call that was bad it was earlier steps that didn't convince her of your status.

Good random texts for girls are something that provoke their curiosity;

'I just saw something and it made me thing of you.'

'OMG you will never believe what just happened!'

They will respond out of general curiosity most of the time!

nah i commented on her day with some light hearted comment and then told her what I did with my day, not too detailed though. then only as an ending off line i said hey would be cool to meet up again so i can 'kick youre ass again'. i didnt jump straight into the 'hey lets meet up again part' at all, it really was a throw away line and not a direct question (ie. was fishing for a comment back to see if she was keen).

anyway as you say, its normally something i would have done before hand somewhere in the process that blew the deal but I cant think of anything. I'll think harder! hey it may be for some reason that is personal to her, this happens from time to time.

something i just thought of right now which may be the only thing left, David D material...if she dont reply (via email or sms)...you send the 2nd one saying something to the effect of..."man trying to play hard to get already??" or..."you are SUCH a player!". This might make her smile on the other end and get a response.

ps. i like the curiosity text msg examples.

seems it worked...sent her a text msg 'You are such a little playa! :)'

she replied saying 'why am i a playa? :)'

and it's back on....said she didnt reply cos she fell asleep or some crap and that her msg's were coming through late. dont know if i believe it, i think she was holding out to see if I would contact her again...and if i didnt she would have msg'ed me after a few days.

Yeah Man!

Calling them out on being a player is golden... often they can't turn it around at that point or else it sounds like a stupid insult calling you a player after.
