the grinding/dry humping style dancing to hip hop music. Any advice or helpful videos / instructions appreciated because I found out that I'm kind of clueless & it killed two potiental SNL's.

I don't normally do hip hop style bars but I ended up at one with a little dance floor and was unprepared. Two of my sarges were like lets dance. Sounded fun until I got out there & was way out of my element. Of course both started backing up grinding on me which would have been great & I can tell tons of fun had I known WTF to do. My question is do you just hump her (that's what I felt like), do you try to follow her moving more side to side, do you try to lead?

I'm lost & it all felt mega akward with people watching, which in this place there wasn't but like 10 people dancing so everyone else was watching. I just tried to do what felt natural, but I just kind of stood there like I was getting a lap dance while she was touching her ankles grinding away. Ended up getting uncomfortable & talking way to much. Figured out that's even worse. One chick was like you talk to much & that was done.

First off. Have fun on the dance floor. Fun is attractive. If you are having more fun then she is, she is attracted to you.

And about the grind, first off, count the beats. one. two. three. four. you can go back and forth, side to side, or in a circle but as long as you are in tempo.

here is a good article on dance floor game.

How did it go?

The more you actully go out and Dance, the better your dancing gets. My dancing is MUCH MUCH better now then it was a year ago. Also, go to clubs that play music you like. I love dancing to House, with someone or by myself, and chicks can see how much FUN i am having and open ME.

Haha, btw, I like to teach them Micheal Jackson dance moves. Like Thriller.

I didn't get a chance to test it unfortuantly. I had a couple buddies that went out with me all weekend, & we ended up going to the old stand around talk bars where they were more comfortable. Heading back to that dance bar this weekend though & hopefully make something happen.

I was thinking about the robbie williams video I posted a while back. Near the end about 3:40 in, he is doing a goofy dancing, but the guy is so in state & loose & having fun self amusing that it doesn't matter. It makes it cool. Seems like the key is just to be loose and confident.

Well tbh I just go to clubs that play pop music, which I despise. :P But nothing in my home town nor uni town seeing as I'm a fan of heavy metal and the only dancing done at that kind of place is trying to see how long it takes to get whiplash or a haemorrhage!

But even if I dislike the music I'm good at making the most of it though a tad embarrasing that I don't know the words.
