Got kind of rejection in third date :(....Advice needed

Post subject:  Got kind of rejection in third date :(....Advice needed
Hi guys

I am sure some one of you have been through this situation.

I met this girl few weeks before and it was all going well. We texted each other every day. In our second date I kissed her and all seemed to go very well.

But yesterday in our third date she told me that probably the feeling she had for me was not more than just friendship :(. She said that there was some feeling in second date and thats why she allowed me to kiss but soon she realized that she wants just a friendship with me.

I made her clear that my feeling was more than friendship and I dont want to meet her as a "friend". I could see on her face that this was not a easy decision for her but I dont know what happened in between. Few things which I can think of are

1. I was little bit too much flirty. She did say actually that those nice text messages were really flattering but she thought it was bit too much at this moment.
2. before the kiss I asked her permission couple of times which probably she thought that I was kind of begging for kiss.
3. OR may be I am thinking too much and making this a big deal. You never know what girls can come up with. She was probably attracted for brief period but then some how that attraction was gone.

Did I handle situation reasonably. Should I have been just her friend so to keep in touch with her?. Is there any game left which i can still do?. OR should I just go on and find the next girl. Any comments or advices would be appreciated.

It's going to be kind of difficult playing in the friend zone but it's still possible.
You probably acted as though SHE was the prize and didn't attract her enough.
Sounds like you need to work on inner game and eliminate that wuss inside you (don't wanna sound mean or anything). And never ask a girl for permission to kiss. If you feel it and think you can just go for it or soften it up with a k-close routine

all those 3 are connected......... you made a big deal out of it NEVER ACT LIKE ITS A BIG deal

yeh I know guys....I just have to continue my life but still it hurts specially when its your first time :). Anyway she is still on my facebook and she did say that I can text her as well. But I dont know what to do now. I dont think I am gonna text her or chat with her on facebook.
