This might seem like a weird question. When I text, I refuse to use acronyms like LOL, BRB, and stuff like that. I also refuse to use emotes like Great writers are able to convey lots of emotions with just a few well selected words. They do it very well, whilst staying grammatically correct. I feel that using these acronyms, and emotes hinders my language development. I'm sure it's much easier to flirt when using these, but of course they go against what I believe in. My question is, should I continue not using these, and continue trying to find the best words for the situation, or should I conform for the sake of an easier time getting my emotions across. |

Yeah I have been playing around with the same idea... I think you are onto something here. I still use lol but i don't talk with text speak anymore. using a few well selected words shows intelligence. I must admit I do use emoticons like Would like to here more experienced view on this though? |

Dude, you should just use them... you are after all, just sending text messages to a girl. This isn't an English paper. Just have fun with it. Try new things out and experiment. Don't be so serious about it. |

I agree to an extent ... its text not an english exam or paper ... be more open and have fun with text girls like smiles and things, they eat that shit up I have no idea why ... but anyway with that really it shouldn't matter if you talk in full term or complete sentences as long as your gaming ... that is all that should matter at the end of the day...
Just have fun with it. Try new things out and experiment. Don't be so serious about it. |
