PUA Forum :: some help would really be appreciated

I was honestly too embarrassed to post this on my regular account because I feel so fucking awful about it, so I made this fake one.

I've known about pickup for about a year now, and its been pretty helpful and insightful. I really like everything about the community...

But the more I get into it and learn new things, my respect for women is declining.
Realizing that women are attracted to guys who don't treat them makes me feel really embarrassed for women.

Although I understand that they cant really help it and thats the way nature works, it just makes me lose enormous amounts of respect for women.

I have this friend who is always talking about how she wants a nice guy. She always complains to me that guys arent nice enough to her. Well, in a few weeks she is going to be driving 3 and a half hours to see a guy who dumped her after a week of dating. This guy has a girlfriend right now, but he moved away from her because she wanted him to propose. My friend knows this. He treated her like shit before and now shes going back to him.

I just feel very embarrassed for girls who fall for the pickup stuff, to the point where I don't want to be with a girl that it works on.

I really love everything pickup has done, its helped me step up my game immensely, but its also made me realize some things that I wish I didn't know.

If anyone can change my mind about this, it would be greatly appreciated, because I really don't want to feel this way.

Here is the thing that you really need to grasp. People can't really control who they are attracted to. That includes us too! They old saying by David D. that attraction isn't a choice, well it isn't! People can't help the type of people tha they are attracted to. There is some reason why she feels attraction for this guy. Now with pickup we know how to manipulate facts that persuade woment o be attracted to us or not. We know how to DHV, tease, push/pull, and lots of other stuff to influence a woman to feel attraction for us by our actions or words we use. She can't help it if pickup works on her. The truth is these building blocks have been around for ages to generate attraction whether you call it pickup, dating, or seduction. Women have been teasing us for years and using the tactics on us to in order of us to feel attraction for them. Now for other people it isn't a concious decision as much to employ these tactics where as for us we are more socially aware of what's going on because of the community. You aren't going to be able to unlearn all the knowledge you ahve obtained or make it change your mind. I know the feeling that you are experiencing but again it's not their fault! It's not your fault either this is just your state of mind. The sooner you come to grips with the idea that she can't help who she's attracted to and 9/10 don' t know why they are attracted to others they just are. We can break it down, but most others just don't know. I'd suggest taking a break from all this to get your head in a better place about women. It helped me! Good Luck on Your Journey, Jon

I was the same when I got into the game. My whole perspective changed about women. It came as helpful insightful information, but made me look at women at a different way. Attraction and Personality is 2 totally different things. People can't help who their attacted to, it's innate. Just because a girl is attracted to a douchebag won't change who they are. Pick up is useful to open up sets and get them attracted, but in the long run, it's YOU that determines if they want to stay or not. If your a good guy, and she has the right frame of mind of wanting to be with you, that makes her a good person. I believe, and this is not from pick up or any of that shit, that good people will always end up with good people.
