Post subject:  Hairy Chest Laser Hair Removal (yay or nay)

I have a really hairy chest. It kind of bothers me when it pokes through the top of my shirt or when I walk around when I have my shirt off. I'm considering getting the laser surgery to have it removed. What are your thoughts on getting this surgery? Are hairy chests really that unattractive to women or is it all in my head?

Another thing I'm considering having done is having the circles under my eyes removed. I have them 24/7 and they are very unattractive. They make me look tired all the time. I've tried several natural remedies for them but cannot get them to go away and they really bother me. Thoughts on this surgery?

Both are very expensive (about $2000/each), but I think they would make me feel better about myself so maybe it's worth it. Would love to hear some opinions from other guys on this. Thanks.

Do it for yourself.

Not because some girly paper told you girls don't like hairy chests. (they really don't mind actually)

BUT.
plastic surgery only can take you so far.
And in my opinion it's just taking the easy way out without facing the real problem: Your lack of confidence in yourself.

I just want to have that stated.

I'm not denying any of that. I certainly have lacked self-confidence for my whole life. But I think these surgeries would somehow help me improve that, albeit superficially. Wouldn't that actually help the situation then as opposed to hurt it?

If you think superficial stuff is going to boost your confidence, then sure.

Only if you do it for yourself.

Women don't get turned on by the superficial appearance like men do.

Hairy chest is just a problem as long as YOU THINK it is a problem ;)

As jav said, only do it if it is for yourself...otherwise just make sure it not smelly or something :)

yeah definately these "SPAM" are just a false sense of security type thing
if they boost ur confidence then hell just go for it
if its what u really want
i honestly know a lot of girls who say they hate guys who shave their chest cuz it makes them seem less manly
i have a hairy chest too, but i shave it every once in a while cuz i like to look at myself in the mirror sumtimes haha kidding
but like if it really bothers you when it pokes out, but u dont wanna spend 2000 dollars on it, cuz i sure wouldnt, just trim it. it takes a couple minutes outta ur time and when it gets long again trim it again.
as for the bags under ur eyes, people have them, once again, if u really wanna do it, but like the guys before me said, dont do it cuz sum ho magazine says girls like it.

at the end of the day it's your call man

i have a hairy chest too. i've asked girls i've been with and they like it both ways.

when it's clean and i ask, they say they like it clean
when it's hairy and i ask, they say they like it hairy

i personally believe women don't really know what they like. it's all just bullshit. what really matters is what u like.

for me, i like it clean. it makes my chest and 6-pack look more defined. on top of that, i like when a girl plays with and sucks on my nipples, lol. out of courtesy to the girl i usually try to keep it shaved.

it's fucked up when she comes up to kiss me and i get a piece of my own chest hair in my mouth.

whatever you go with .. dont go with the cheap route .. cheap laser chest surgery .. friend of mine got that done thinking its all the same. .. it left his chest full of small cigareete burns which are stil visible after 6 months. .. docotors have you sign a form which keeps their assses from getting sued and protected

better to spend 600 then 100.

Just shave it if your that worried about it. I wouldn't advise the surgery for the bags either.

If you think it'll make you more attractive and feel more confident-- do it. Be sure to post up before and after pictures.

A good way to boost your confidence in this area would be to go to someplace that requires you to have your shirt off, try a couple of routines or what not, you could even use that as an opener as one of the other threads talks about (Never say it in a demeaning way towards yourself, always have confidence in whether you are shaved or hairy). Do it a couple of times with hair, then shave when it's freshly shaved try these same routines. Who knows though man fashion and trends are changing so much, women don't know what they want. Personally i shave my chest, it's really not that hard and even if it isn't freshly shaved it shows you're trying to keep a nice shaven look. As many others have said though it all comes down to what you're comfortable with.

DON'T DO IT

Ok, maybe that was a bit overboard.....

My website is under re-furb but it basically has everything you want to know about your problem....

I don't think you should do it, buy yourself a trimmer and keep it trimmed every few days, laser removal is a real pain, and expensive, you have to keep going back again and again - I'm sure you already know all this...

95% of the adult male population has hair on their chest! Some have more hair than others that's all - but here's the great thing about that, a TRIMMER can put you on par with everyone else

Just add it into your grooming routine, to trim.

Either way, it's your choice, I think you just need to boost your confidence a little more, this will come after a few months of being in the game. It took me 4 months to get my confidence :P but now I am happier than I have ever been, trimmed chest and all......

I dont really have much hair at all on my chest/stomach and i have absolutely none on my back. BUT i do hear where you are coming from as i have a lot of hair on the back of my neck, and it 3 times as thick on the left side compared to the right side. So i have a real insecurity about this. I have long hair in the pony tail so it does help cover it a bit. I regularly go for a wax on the neck but within 2 weeks the problem is back again. So im seriously considering laser surgery or electrolysis to solve this problem It would make me feel a lot better about myself, but theres the money cost and im also worried it may not even work!

There are obviously a lot of great arguments for and against. At this point, I plan to at least consult a doctor about the eyes. My argument for is that I have blue eyes. When I was younger, I used to have tons of girls tell me I had beautiful eyes. As I got older and the bags started getting larger, it's come to the point where nobody says it anymore because the dark shadows clearly overshadow the shade of blue. If God gives you a gift like beautiful eyes (not trying to brag, just making my argument), why shouldn't I do whatever it takes to try and show them off, right? It's like a girl with big boobs wears low cut shirts and not turtlenecks. A girl with beautiful legs wears mini skirts and not long pants. A girl with beautiful hair wears it down and not up in a bun. I think getting rid of the bags would help show off one of my better qualities and make my job a lot easier in pickup.

I'm still undecided on the chest hair thing. I really do think it would help with my confidence, as I tend to be very self conscious of these things. I will likely try and consult a doctor to see what's out there.
