It seems that CF has become one of the more common pua techniques. Has anyone ever been busted by an HB for using cocky funny? Have they ever said "Oh I know you're trying to use cocky funny jokes on me." Are they starting to catch on that this is just a pickup technique? |

I take it you haven't heard of SARCASM. That's pretty much what a lot of so called "cocky funny" stuff is. This is a really common thing with most people, not just PUAs and thus no one really notices at all. If you do it well it works really good on women and that's how David D discovered it. It's not a secret and no one is going to say anything about it.
Has anyone ever been busted by an HB for using cocky funny? Have they ever said "Oh I know you're trying to use cocky funny jokes on me." Are they starting to catch on that this is just a pickup technique? |

You know, you really have a nasty attitude and you talk to everybody like they're an idiot. I'd appreciate it if you not reply to me anymore. I really dislike being attacked and talked down to. I have my hands full enough already dealing with all of life's challenges (just like other people) without having to also deal with people trying to assault my self esteem for whatever reason. I didn't come here for that. |

Have you ever been called out for using cockyfunny? There's a difference between using a technique and having a personality trait. Being cocky funny makes you a naturally friendly and sociable guy, you break the ice with new people, you have an outrageously fun sense of humor and are just fun to be around. Of course some people are too self conscious or LSE to vibe with a c&f guy, and sometimes they just don't get you. Cocky funny is meant to be a personality trait not a technique. But of course the inevitable opposite happens: Most people will opt for something that appears to be a quick fix rather than a putting in a lot of work to make a big personal change. You see this everywhere: Fakeass miracle supplements for instant fat loss or muscle gain, ebooks promising to solve all of lifes problems, foods that make you healthy just by eating them, and pick up lines/techniques/routines promising instant success with women. Avi "David Deangelo" sends out the same newsletters In the same order to everyone that subscribes, I know cuz I once had 2 of my redirect addresses subscribed. You always get that story on how attraction isn't a choice and women aren't attracted to wussbags first, followed by the same exact emails. So probably a large percentage of the community is spitting c&f lines right out of the book/presentation/email and presenting David DeAngelo copypasta to chicks all over the interwebs. All this shit will be played out in no time. But the c&f theory was developed by studying the habits of NATURALS. Not people who spit lines, memorize routines and shit. To be good at c&f you must BE c&f, not use it. Practice improvising c&f openers and responses in the field and you'll become a naturally cockyfunny guy ................... Btw don't trip about lines if they're just common phrases or figures of speech, but in a game context. Like the "I like you." "I know/I like me too" response. Or my best line I made up, when I sat at a table outside with my coworker on lunch break. She says my bfs sitting there. I say with a c&f attitude "I'm not your boyfriend." She laughs histerically. |

Cocky & Funny is basically considered situational, if you understand the concept it shouldn't take you a very long time to respond. Pausing between responses isn't always a bad thing, unless it gets to an awkward silence. I agree Ryelee's post wasn't the most positive, not much you can do except deal with it. You shouldn't care what other people think, your hear to gain PUA knowledge I assume. You should block out what you consider negative posts, if you have to although they can still be helpful if you find a positive side to it. |

I used CF on a Brazillian girl last year. To this day I have no idea whether it hurt or helped me. I think she found me attractive anyway, but probably more so after C&F, but it may have made her too wary to sleep with me.Has anyone ever been busted by an HB for using cocky funny? We got to the Kino pinging stage and one time I slammed down a pen and pad in front of her and said "Write down your number". She made some bullshit excuse and wrote her e-mail instead. After that she went back to Brazil and I e-mailed her. She confessed to having lots of dirty fantasies about me but told me she didn't want to hook up because she was simply a little scared of me, being alone in a foreign country (a recurring TF problem, genuine attraction but no close) Turns out she had a thing for Hugh Grant, which is pretty much my default persona before I discovered PUA. I can't help feeling C&F cost me a lay here. It wasn't like I didn't attempt to generate comfort with her. She didn't know what I was doing ie I wasn't "busted", but the technique did not have the desired outcome. As to your general question, I have never seen a good C&F approach used in day game in the last year by anybody, not an obvious PUA or a natural. Many guys use it at night because of alcohol and pack mentality, it is so common I don't think anybody would recognize it as a technique as such. |

Sorry dude but there is no chance of ever getting called on it. The only conceivable way I could see it happening would be if you were using line after line from the game etc and got busted on them then they mention cocky funny. It is a naturally occurring thing so you shouldn't get busted. |

Ok. Man, you are lost. Cocky&funny means YOU ARE FUNNY AND COCKY AT THE SAME TIME. Person can be funny, cocky, sad, aggressive. Anything, its natural. Being C&F can be natural to someone, and possibly that one have not ever heard about PUA, PU or anything like that. When you use C&F a lot, for long time -> It becomes part of your personality. I dont see how you could GET BUSTED for being C&F...? |

Wow, you really need to learn how to read people's intentions better. If you re-read what I originally posted, you will see that there's nothing nasty in there at all and just because the word sarcasm is capitalized doesn't mean I'm talking to you like you're an idiot, it's called highlighting a key word. I explained the concept to you because your question makes it sound like you don't fully understand what cocky/funny is really about. I have my hands full enough already dealing with all of life's challenges (just like other people) without having to also deal with people trying to assault my self esteem for whatever reason. I didn't come here for that. If you would prefer newer guys who are exactly the same level as you to answer your questions, then you're not gonna learn a whole lot. If you can't take constructive criticism or stand to have concepts thoroughly explained rather than merely hinted at, then you're not gonna learn a lot. If you can't develop a better ability to judge a person's intentions (such as mine to help you to the best of my ability, when I could easily just ignore your posts) then you're gonna have a hard time telling when women are interested and when they're not, as well as how other guys feel towards you as well. If you can't develop a thicker skin, so that even if you think a person IS being slightly harsh (we call it tough love and everyone needs a bit from time to time, regardless of whether you're some newbie, or Mystery, or the king of the world), then you're gonna have a hard time dealing with life in general. I'm not asking for an appology Bill, I don't hold it against you or anything and you're not the first person to think that I'm a jerk. What I will say, is that I am considered to be one of the better professional coaches on here and if you realise you misjudged me you can drop me a line, otherwise I'll do as you requested and not reply to your threads. |

i think most people see C&F as a personality trait than a technique. and girls wont call out on you because if you dont know a thing about the game it will make her look like a retard  e.g:PUA/Normal people: you look like you come from mars HB: you are using C&F!! you pick up artist! PUA/Normal people: what the? LOL |
