Post subject:  Appropiate location, and times to approach

I'm new to this whole pickup thing. I try to go out and approach but, I don't know where is a good place, or when is an appropriate time.

I'm not 21 so I can't go to a bar (I don't even know what a bar is like) also I would be more interested in a quality girl not a bar girl.

so I end up going to the mall to get a few things, and try to approach while I'm there.

I see so many girls walking in the opposite direction. I don't think it's appropriate to stop a walking girl for some opinion opener. I don't know about girls working in stores because they might only be nice because they're at work.

I don't like the mall because it's full of underage girls, and the older ones are mostly with their boyfriends.

Basically what I'm asking is where is a good place to meet women, and what situations are appropriate for different openers.

Like I said earlier, stopping a moving target for an opinion opener doesn't sound right (Maybe it is and that's just my inner AFC talking)

The answer is: anywhere.

Some places are better than others, but anywhere you can find girls that you'd want to pick up is a place you can pick them up. Stopping moving targets: well, if they're in a rush, they'll just start moving again. Otherwise they'll stop moving and talk to you. Then they're not moving targets any more. Coffeeshops work, Starbucks for example, just make sure to set a time constraint there.

It might be a confidence issue stopping you from being able to do that. If you think it is then pick up the Rule of the Game by Style and work through those excercises.

Alternatively just go with the classic 'Say 'hi' to every girl you see anywhere, regardless of how hot she is, for the next week/2 weeks/month'.

Also, what you said about 'bar girls' and 'quality girls' is utter bullshit, there are quality girls in bars and many 'freaks' that dont go to bars.

[Disclaimer: I am a keyboard jockey as of now, and am just regurgitating what i've read elsewhere.]

What would I say to a girl who's walking in my direction without seeming creepy?

I think I might actually try the "hi" exercise.

When I mean quality girls I didn't mean all girls in bars aren't good. I'm sure there are good girls there too, I was just thinking of the stereotypical bar girl. I've never been to a bar before so don't really know what to expect. Until recently talking to my older co worker, I always bars were like Moe's in the Simpsons. Apparently they are all different. I'll find out later this year.

Well if you're going to be gaming at the malls do it in the individual stores and not in the thoroughfares/walkways where people are in transit. Women walk quickly when going between stores but slow down their pace when they are browsing/shopping in a store. Use this to your advantage. Women also know that guys use the walkways as "scouting" spots when they want to pickup women. We've all seen it: a group of guys hanging out at a busy spot of the mall just looking at all the women that pass by, laughing and jeering each other on just to talk to one of them. When they do it's usually something crude, stupid and they end up crashing and burning. You don't want to even be associated with any of them, so don't approach like them. Besides, approaching in a store just seems a lot more innocent. Two customers having a conversation is better than a guy trying to catch up to a woman he doesn't know to talk to her.

I'm an avid reader and have found excellent success in book stores at the mall just starting up conversations about reading material. Clothing stores are another great place by simply opening up with a simple "what do you think of this?" "Does it look too _______?" Use the surroundings of the store to your advantage to find conversation material.

Malls are one of the best place to hone your skills as a PUA. The only problem is, every single other guy and his best friend also try to use the mall as their gaming spot, so you need to be on it.
