Everyone has some different ways of doing it. I can see why and how your way would work through or could work. Don't forget about kino
The great thing about pickup is that a lot of people can be right at the same time about how to get the girl. You have the basic idea of it though in that you are building attraction before moving on to showing interest and comfort.
As long as it's working for you, I wouldn't worry about it much. If it's not working as well as you wannt it to, then tweak the process slowly.
