When my facial expressions and tonality do not match my game, it fucks it up. Because women are emotional thinkers not logical thinkers they can't get my humor or start feeling comfortable when this happens. I've been working on my tonality by practicing out loud, but mirror practicing of facial expressions doesn't help me improve them during interactions. I'm generally unaware of my facial expression when I am not feeling a specific emotion; observers have described it as blank and serious. Interaction is only 7% verbal, so this is a problem socially. Nonverbal communication=Emotional communication. My questions for the community are: Are there any resources for mastery of body language/facial expressions, not what expressions to make but how to master awareness and voluntary control of it? What emotions should I feel and project (in addition to confidence and sexual energy) in the field? Is it normal to interact with people without feeling any specific emotion? |

honestly... here is where congruance comes into play... Is it normal to interact with people without feeling any specific emotion? it is a known fact that if your interested in someone, your body language will betray you.. you almost have no controll over it. So if your not intersted in what your talking about... talk about things you are intersted/passionate/facinated with... get excited about what your discussing... because really... who cares what they think... this is what YOU like... and when you come from that point of view... you will have the facial expressions, and the interest. that being said... famous comidians who do facial expressions like jim carry used to pratice them in the mirror for hours... until it just came naturally... Idk if that helps, JMT |

Heres the deal. Why do you not get into the emotion you are trying to show? If you tell a really sad story why not feel the sadness, think of a sad memory. If you tell something fun, think fun thoughts. This comes naturally when you start using your own material from your own life. Another point is that you got to show the girl that you are emotionally not f**ked up and if you cannot do this in normal conversation then you maybe should get your emotional life under control. |
