Just an interesting topic of debate I hope you can comment on. Time and time again, we know that what women say and what women actually do are completely two different things. One will say that they don't hook up at parties for fear of being labeled a slvt, but the next time you see her she is hooking up with a guy at a party.

So now I flip the topic. I realize basically everyone here is a guy, but do you think women evaluate what you say or what you do more importantly (aside from major things like cheating)? Which will illustrate your image more?

I'll use a couple of my own examples to show you what I mean. First, I believe I am seen as being very mild-mannered and will always "go with the flow" - some think I'm non-confrontational. However, while I like to remain calm, I speak my mind. If someone does something disrespectful, they will hear about it. I don't shout or pick a fight or anything like that, but I can be intense. I won't make a scene in front of others, but the other person will soon know how I feel. Another example is that I can be seen as being "safe." However, while I am safe in some things (i.e. not doing anything that could have devastating consequences), I am a little too risky. In one of my in-class projects, I had to produce a broadcast story within 2 1/2 hours. I took the risk by getting one last interview that was pretty good, and handed that in a minute before it would be counted as a 0. I'll also try to squeeze into something (i.e. an exit on the highway) instead of calmly waiting for the next one.

What do you all think? Is it more important what a guy SAYS or DOES in the eyes of women?

Perhaps not quite what your getting at but

7 percent verbal (words)
38 percent vocal (volume, pitch, rhythm, etc)
55 percent body movements (mostly facial expressions)

SO yeah,

what you DO is more important that what you SAY...

an easy example of this is if you come up to me and tell me that Smoking is bad, and how horrible it is and how no one should smoke.. but your smoking a cig... im probably not going to believe any of the bs coming out of your mouth =)

I think you know the answer yourself man, and so do almost every person

What you DO is way more important than what you say.

Everyone can say shit but going from thought to action is what counts.
Guys and girls is not really that different on this subject

example

If a girl says she's not a slut but later that evening you see her making out with three other boys what judgement do you make?

If a boy talks tough shit but everytime he gets called out on it he backs down his words will be worth nothing in the end.

We define people throu their actions

To be fair, I think that one has to make a slight difference. Yes what one does "counts more" than what you say.

However I would count bodylanguage as a part of expressing yourself (aka saying something). You can lie just as well through your bodylanguage as you could through just telling a lie. And I think in pick-up situations what you say (with mouth and body) counts the most. The reason for this is also because in these situations you don't even have the time to really do things which will take you effort to complete.

What I understand by "doing something" is when one has to go out of his/her way and actually invest time to do something which is actually meant for someone else.

And I think that counts infinitely more than anything a person can say.
