I found the shittest practice thread really useful, and here's something similar I would like to try, I hope you'll find it useful too. If not I'll just practice on myself privately ;-)

So it would be pretty cool to all be Oscar-winning actors who skydive in their spare time, but let's face it - our lives are not always that exciting. Most of us have ordinary day jobs, ordinary hobbies. We can make things up of course, but relying too much on this isn't probably great. Fortunately to large extend it's a matter of delivery, if we can put enough enthusiasm into talking about our lives, interests, events etc. we can turn them into something that chicks would find intriguing.

So give your best story about your situation, and give another situation to the next participant, just like in the shittest practice thread. If you cannot make it a superexciting DHV at least make it sound good enough. So let me start.

Situation: You're working part time as burger flipper at McDonalds.

Burger Flipper:

So im at work the other day and my manager doesnt show up, everyone is running around crazy thinking the sky is falling or something, when really im like wow what a blessing right? we got the whole day to kinda take it easy. So as im relaxing eating a burger i just flipped we get a shit load of little kid soccer players and they are tearing shit up! like one kid is squirting katsup one kid is making a house of napkins, then the one little asshole desides to mess with the ice machine and the whole thing empties on the floor. and all these kids are being regulated by one mom, who when i looked at her gave me the i wanna shoot myself face. So they all order and the staff is going nuts without the big boss man so i step in and say listen up! everyone man a station and talk with each other this is no different then any other day and your all being little drag queens. You guys handle back here and come get me if something starts on fire, im gonna man the battle out there with the little nazis. So i grab my AK and walk out i raised my vioce and said HEY KIDS! CHECK THIS OUT! and i made a tooth pick dissappear, they all stopped and rushed in! then i sat down and made a salt shaker go throught the table, complete silence! then i said to them okay i will show you one more and teach you the tooth pick one but you all have to sit down, eat all your food, not move, and be good while i clean up your mess. So with order restored i cleaned up they got thier food i showed them one last trick and afterwards the mom came up to me and said thanks, you will make some woman very happy soemday and kissed me on the cheek. crazy day huh?


wow i might actually use that one lol and just say, "hey so i used to work at this burger joint guess what happened"

oh heres the next situation and this is true its my life, and even though its fun and fabulous i dont know how to talk about it to women without sounding like im bragging so help it out please

So I'm a musician , a writer , a poet , and a martial artist... I got plenty of thing to work with just not any true stories that would be interesting to work with...but give me a sec I'm sure I can spin something off of the musician thing seeing as I've been the front man for a few bands :P

So I'm a fry cook at the local burger king. I know not the most glamerous job in the world but it get me money when I need it. I notice the new guy is having trouble working the fryer and the boss is unjustly riding his ass. Being ever chivalrus I tell my boss to back off the kid cause he's new and I'll see to it personally he's taught how to work the equipment better since chuck ( his trainer ) is always half assed about teaching these kids what they need to know



there this story shows that I'm a leader , a defender of the , meak and not afraid to tell my superior off if need be

I started this thread, so ... Yes, DHV story is about what you experienced (to be honest most people with make up half of the details, whatever). But it's about delivery much more than about content. Here we can practice DHV delivery skills. Hopefully practicing and seeing how others do that we can learn how to turn our own experiences into DHV stories.

So let's get the thread back on track. Who can deliver a good DHV spin on thin.
