You just need to talk to her. There's not guaranteed way to make her WANT a FB relationship. It's just not going to happen. But you don't know for sure that she wants a serious, long-term, monogamous, no-fun relationship. You need to sit her down, tell her you find her interesting and you'd like to take things further, but you don't want to send mixed signals and you want things to be VERY clear. If women never wanted to have a FB relationship, then there would never be FBs. You just need to see if she's up for it. But if she's not, then move on. You can't change what she wants. Cinnamon |

Honesty is the way. Say you like her and you'd like to be more than just friends but you don't want anything "exclusive" right now especially since she is going to be going away soon. Then in my opinion from there no matter what happens your morals should be clear because then if you f-close and she becomes needy and goes all girlfriendy on you, you can just say "hey listen, i told you where i stand before we did anything and nothing has changed" she can't neccersarily have a grudge against you from there because you TOLD her your intentions before anything happened. However if you escalate to the close without saying anything, then the same situation occurs and you THEN tell her what your intentions had been, you get a bad rep as a player that used her. |

I agree with you on this for the most part. However, I have been in situations where I havent felt the need to be so upfront. Not because I was trying to hide something, but I felt that the girl was keeping up her emotional walls to some degree as well. I think this is just a matter of good calibration to a situation and a new relationship with someone. However if you escalate to the close without saying anything, then the same situation occurs and you THEN tell her what your intentions had been, you get a bad rep as a player that used her. I am a firm believer in being open and honest. However, I also believe that there is a point where there is too much communication to the point where you are almost talking your way through everything. I guess my point is to communicate and be honest, but if you bring up every little thing and want to talk it through, this will not only become a pain in the ass, you could possibly come off as an AFC. |
