Well, I got back home recently and am finally free. I've tried going out to a club and a bar but that turned out bad, partially because of my problem.

I have several scars on my face, two big ones and several small noticeable ones. One of them goes from the top of my nose next to my left eye and extends three inches, it's about as thick as a pinky. The other goes from the middle of my nose (left side) and extends down towards my check for about 1.5 or two inches, same thickness. I have about five or six small scars right under my left eye all over my cheek and right below my eye.

They're already healed and I can't afford surgery. I'm looking into other ways of removing them. The description should be enough to paint them in your mind.

AMOG's seem to love pointing them out and talking shit about me and the bigger drunk ones try to get pushy but I've found this is a great way to make friends with them and the other guys in the group.

Otherwise, I'm fairly normal looking. I'm in very good shape but it's cold so you can't really see that and have very good hygiene.

I'm still very worried about my scars though, will they destroy any chances I have of scoring an HB10? My last attempt at a night out ended in disaster because I got too drunk and got into a fight... a one time thing.

Sorry, no pictures. I don't have a cell phone yet and no camera.[/img]

Umm scars are supposed to be sexy, though, aren't they?

If you feel self conscious about them then it will affect your performance but if you don't pay attention to them most people will barely give them a second though.
I also expect they have a fucking cool story behind them, so you can spin it as a DHV.

I don't feel really self conscious about them but they are very visible and people stare at me a lot. I usually just smile and wave hello but they turn away and pretend they weren't looking :P . I haven't really gotten a positive response so far.

The story is an explosion went off next to a nearby cement barrier and I got hit in the face by the debris. Would continuing to work for another 20 minutes be a DHV, or should I focus on something else like how it hasn't killed my spirit?

I want pics.

I have some smallish scars, but one is right smack middle of my forehead.

I've never paid it much attention, but every once in a while, someone will notice and say something about it.

"I had a grenade blow up in my face when I was in Iraq," shuts them up faster than a bitch slap ever could.

I'm going to get a cell phone in a couple of days, I'll try for them then. Just imagine scarring around the edges of glasses and you've got it.

But... that seems like it'd be a bummer to bring up in a conversation I want to keep lively. I can't really come up with a DHV other than I didn't cry about it. Maybe if I laugh about it while I tell them?

There's a lot of conflicting information out there and I'm still gathering it all in my head.

Leave it at that.

You could always lie, like when someone asks what you do. LIke " Well its a long story, basically I was walking home from volunteering with the homeless, past an orphanage. When I noticed a kitten up a tree. So i climb up this tree to save the kitten, when the orphanage set on fire, so I go climbing down ....."
she will cut you off and ask for the real story, 2nd story
"Ok the real story is a little less exciting though, sure you want to hear it?"
yes
"Ok so I was surfing one day and I notice this baby seal getting attacked by a great white (then just burst out laughing or carry on with a farcical story).

HarveyNash - What are the scars from, if you you don't mind answering? Because depending on how you got them they may be a DHV all to themselves.

Scars will NOT hold you back, unless you let them.
This is more of an inner game issue. I suggest building your confidence. http://www.puaforum.co.uk
