Post subject:  Passive AMOG, Natural PUA, Nice Guy, or Natural Jackass
I typically don't do the club scene or go to sporting events or bars where everyone's watching one on a big screen, so I don't feel I'm typically exposed to the envirorments where I would be likely to find large numbers of traditional AMOGs or PUAs. The things I go to typically involve events at school with few if any jocks but still a sufficient number of chicks (my college is not known for its athletics), or slightly more intellectual or professional events.

However, at these events there is typically one scruffy, artsy, philosopher, failed musician type who just seems laid back, eager to be everyone's friend, and incapable of not speaking every hackneyed thought on philosophy or social justice that pops into his head. And again, I am not describing a specific person, but a type.

The problem is chicks really seem to flock around people like this.

How does one deal with such a person?

If pretend to agree with him, I'm practically handing him a DHV.

If I counter his ideas, I come off as rude or closed minded.

And if I attack him for not knowing what he's talking about, I look like a jackass.

Comments? Suggestions?

I think you just described me in that post ;)

Girls might like it, but all it takes is for you to make him seem like a bit of a pseudo-intellectual windbag and the girls will lose all interest. It's happened to me several times - you can impress them with philosophy and art, but if a guy comes in and starts talking about more menial stuff, putting himself across as the down-to-earth alpha guy, it can often turn my efforts right round and make me look a bit like an airhead.

So, basically, I would say that you just don't give him any credit. If he starts saying 'hey, I just thought. What's the meaning of life?' you just throw back something straightforward - 'man, this is party, get dancing'. He then either has to ignore you or qualify himself, and either way you have demonstrated yourself as more 'fun'.

Just my two cents - by no means tried and tested but I know that it would work on me, and I fit the criteria you mentioned pretty well.

HHAHAHAHA! Sounds like a classic POW = DOM situation, admittedly the guy has probably never heard of my POW = DOM.

But your never-the-less on the suffering side.

You can't contradict him or you lose favour of the women so you end up becoming submissive.

Put simply if you do ANYTHING to insult him or drop him down a notch however subtle the women will pick up on it and resent it.

The way I prefer to deal with non aggressive alpha's is just to rather than be negative and spill out some generic PUA AMOG line. Push your value up higher than his and get him on your side.

How about this.

1. Don't act disrespectful but engage in debate.
2. Don't focus on being philosophical outside these debates, focus on being sexy. Sexy = sexy philosiphy won't help him in that department.

To put it simply use friendly debate to establish yourself as someone who is not "under his control" but keep it friendly to show your not aggressive or a "jack ass" as you put it.

Sounds like me lol don't bother wasting energy trying to out do him etc just make friends with him then you have a good bit of social proof and he will bring the women to you.
