Is there any verbal description of the numbers anywhere? Like, how do you tell the difference between a 9 and a 10? What's the lowest number that you are able to sleep with? I need the straight dope. |

This nomenclature is used, from what I understand, as a mental stimulant to treat women well (not to put them on a pedestal, but to be humane.) On a 1-10 scale, 6+ is above average. You should make every woman you approach FEEL above average, just for the positive feelings that being around you should evoke.--Mystery Method, p. 34 The "lowest number you're able to sleep with" is a 6. Or an 8. Maybe a 9. The important question should be, "Who do you WANT to sleep with; or kiss; or date; or have a serious relationship with?" The answer will vary from man to man, as will the subjective component of their evaluation of various women. The rules of the game aren't there to tell you what decisions to make (not much anyway). They're there to help you follow-through effectively on the decisions that you make for yourself. |

no vertbal descriptions. Why? Ok take one girl as an example. You look at her and you say - wow she is the most beautiful girl I saw. I look at her and I say - hmm not bad looking chick. She would be 10 for you and 7 for me. So if you describe her as an example of ten I would not understand and vica versa.. It depends on each PUA and his eye or preferences

Well, I was just thinking that this rating system could be so much more scientific and insightful if we just looked at it a little differently. Okay, we all know that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, right? So why bother with a system that rates women as if this weren't the case? It really doesn't matter one whit if women are beautiful, what matters is the effect they have on us when we experience them. So the system should really describe our own emotional responses to women. For example, if you see someone at a party, say, Cheryl Tweedy, and this experience makes you want to fall on your hands and knees and beg for a couple seconds of eye contact then maybe that would a response that would warrant a 10 rating. A 9 could be total verbal paralysis where you can't think of a single thing to say to someone because she's so hot. Alright, I'm trying to be funny but maybe you can see what I'm getting at. It's really the reaction that we want to understand, not the woman, because the reaction is something that we have influence over. The eternal problem is that we don't want to overreact towards women, and if we can become aware of all the different effects women have over us, it gives us more control over ourselves and more consciousness. I know we can't fit every nuance in a ten point scale . . . some women are so cute and innocent looking that they're like little kittens, some are so hot and confident that they almost look superpowerful . . . but I think a verbal scale could be useful in getting people to think about their inner experiences more. I don't know, just a thought. |
