Ok so I'm out with my friend who is a big time natural, he boasts a lay count of 43. We are walking through the beer garden of the pub we are in and he spots a 1 set HB8. He walks up and opens, I just chill a few steps back and pretend to be txting on my phone. Then 3 of her friends came back from the bar and stood right next to the girl my friend was sarging, none of them were more then a 5 or 6, but I knew I should open them to wing for my friend and just for the sake of opening another set for the night. I ran the opinion opener about a girlfriend of mine who asked me whether she should tell her boyfriend or not that she had a dream where she was unfaithful to him. HB5 (angry / very bitchy tone of voice): Jeez aren't we full of ourselves... Me (joking tone, big smile across my face): I know, I know I'm a very good looking guy, you don't have to beat around the bush. HB5: WTF! Look mate I hate to break it to you but you're not good looking at all. Me (body rocking backwards arms out to the sides): Wow I didn't realize I'd started talking to fashion critics, I guess I should've realized from that expensive handbag you're carrying around. It's a bit big though don't you think? You're not carrying a gun in there or something? (very playfully said). HB6: You are such a fucking weirdo why the hell are you talking to us. -Around this stage I really wanted to eject but my friend was now hooking up with the HB8, so I felt the best course of action was to atleast keep them preocupied- Me (to the 3rd girl in the set): Wow is she always this angry (gesturing at the HB6). Her (looking me dead in the eyes, not in a good way): Yes, Yes she is! - Some random guy now joins the set, I polietly introduce myself and shake his hand, but he still gives me a sort of death stare look- HB5: Who's your friend? (gesturing my mate hooking up with the HB8) Me: That's my good mate Chris, we've known each other since kindergarten. HB5: Well ladeedah, that's Lisa he's with and I've known her since kindergarten as well. My friend now having K-closed & number closed the HB8 ejects and pulls me physically away from the set. I tell him that was an interesting experience in trying to overcome an impossible bitch shield. HB5 (over-hears this): OMFG look at you still having a winge, do you ever shut the fuck up. Me: No, no I don't; and my mate and I are planning on chilling here for a bit longer, so if you have an issue I suggest you leave. HB5: No, how about you move I'm sitting here on a stool Me: Ok then lets compromise, I pick her up on her stool and move her about 10 metres away. I then rejoin my friend and we finish our drinks, someone (most likely the HB5), kept poking me in the back and trying to pull my arm but I just ignored it. I probably opened ~6-7 more sets that night most of which I atleast achieved my goal of reaching hook point, however this encounter is burning in my mind for some reason. Have you guys had similar experiences? Are there girls that just go through life with the 'I'm going to pick a fight with you no matter what you say' attitude? |

Don't worry about that you will find some people are that way inclined you may well have over negged a miserable average girl who would be used to being put down. You see with a hot girl she is used to being complimented thats why putting her down or negging is differnt and therefore makes you differnt if the girl is a 5 or something, chances are she does not get those complimants and often gets negs, so it wont be new or refreshing and she is more likely to take offence. Yu need to also practice cocky funny as i don't think you can pass it off otherwise. Super bitches like that need disarming and some form of entertainment, Cocky Funny may well have gone donw better, "why are you talking to us?", "I fantasised about speaking with you in a dream last night, it's a shame i woke up when i think we where about to kiss"..."R u for real?"..."look it ws just a dream- you do realise dreams are not real anyway lets play a game... i bet you a drink i can win;)" now look this link and use this routine from styles 5 questions,http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0aWoN8MvGKw |

That wasn't a "bitch shield" so much as a not-so-hot girl being jealous that her dude-magnet hottie friend is attracting yet another guy, while the guys continue to ignore her. Stay away from anything negative with those, especially if you're winging for someone else. Stick with a happy, unbreakable customer service smile and just keep her occupied while your wing runs it into the endzone. And then hope that you never have to speak to her ever again. |

Very sound advice, and that routine is great, I ran an opener into the 5 lies game later that night with huge success. I think my sticking point at the moment is definately treading the line between C&F and being plain out insulting. I'm still fairly new to this and find switching gears something I really have to consciously be aware of so as to know that if I'm talking to only 5-6s I can drop the negs and change the C&F ratio to 10:90 I know it wasn't really a bitch shield I sort of just blurted it out in frustration to my friend after ejecting from the set, not the smartest thing to do by far. |
