Text out of the blue from my ex oneitis?!

Post subject:  Text out of the blue from my ex oneitis?!
Alrite Fellas :D

Ok well today I'm sat here watching a film and a text comes through, I look and its from a ex oneitis of mine!? Which is weird because I havent spoken to her since the begining of December at least. It said "Hi havent spoken in a long time are you ok? x x."

Bit of background info, I met her around July last year and got to know her through my social circle, this was when I had just started learning the game. I met her officially at a party and as soon as we had locked eyes there was COMPLETE chemistry and we started making out literally, cut a long story short I blew it by displaying my feelings WAAAAY to soon and she kept flaking on me towards end of November time and told me she liked someone else, next thing I know shes got a new BF.. so I left it at that and moved on. Obviously I couldn't easily let go of her in my mind but I still hadn't spoken to her.

Now Im curious as to why shes text me. If shes split up with her BF then clearly its obvious shes looking for a bounce back but Im not second best. But if shes still with him then why?

Hope you guys can help give me insight to this. :)
Now I havent text her back as of yet, can anyone advise what they would say?

Is it possible that her BF after your break up was a rebound from you???


If so it could be after that whole rebound phase she has "come to her senses" and wants to be accepted by you again.

I'm far from an expert but I'd fire back a nonchalant DHV. Tell her you've been really great, that you've been kitesurfing, snowboarding, acing your exams, making new friends, whatever (you'll have something awesome, just think).

Then throw in "you? Or something equally non-commital.


Do not say:

Oh my god you're right it's been ages, how are you? Do you still have a b/f? etc etc.

The first shows you've barely given it a thought as it wasn't a major moment in your life. That sort of thing happens all the time right?
The second just gives her what she's after, the knowledge that if she wanted to she could have you back in a flash.

As I've said, don't take it as gospel, but it's what I'd do ;)

because she messaged you, chances are her life is NOT awesome.

Show that yours is, and she'll probably want to be back in it.

Yeah I agree, these are all thoughts of mine.

I text her back like 8 hours later lmao and played it as casual as possible. Tbh I just want to F-Close her and leave her because she really messed me up, is that bad?

If I were you I would not try to f-close her unless you are positive that you wont get one-itis again. You said you still had feeling but just forced yourself not to talk to her. My guess is that the same thing can possibly happen again. I tried doing the exact same thing with a one-itis ex of mine, I fucked her then that ended up turning into a relationship, then I supplicated and lost all the power and basically my balls. Its over now but never again will I do that, just make sure that doesnt happen to you.

She's giving you another shot! BF or not. She's giving you another chance. There is absolutely no other reason for her to text you. And Round 2 doesn't make you second best. That's bullshit value posturing.
