Hey, I don't know if this has been brought up before, but I recently read Conquer Your Campus. I'm not saying I agree with everything he says. In fact I completely disagree with a lot of his points, and I think he places too much emphasis on the greek system, joining frats and partying. Anyway, I think the best point he makes is that the college game isn't easier or harder than the real world. It's just different. What might work for a random encounter in a big city might not work in a such a smaller community where your chances of seeing the same people are much greater. So, even with cold approaches, the dynamics of the game are different. The major thing I got out of his book was to NEVER USE OPINION OPENERS. A much better option is to assume you know the person and say something like "hey, I see you here a lot, but we've never met. What's your name?" This works much better in college when people are expected to be social. From there, you can probably run game, but use routines much less and more natural gaming. Heck, you don't even need to game most of the time. You can just #close by normal socializing with the person. What do everyone think? |

join a frat. im doing it in the fall, only reason i havent yet is cus i was in engineering last semester and couldt handle both that and the workload, and im on probation now. frat guys -party. they know how to have fun, and by god they do it. -are part of a brotherhood, you are around cool guys and are social proofed to having many friends. -are sexually experienced (whether this is true or not, that stereotype is still given to you) all things girls find attractive. theres no reason NOT to join one. |

I guess I have 2 reasons why I'm hesitant to join a frat. 1st the time commitment. 2nd I don't think I would actually be able to get into one. I don't drink or party that much. |

I havent read "conquer your campus"... but if it suggests joining a frat to gain social value, I dont want to. Im sure there are some great points in there that you can use, but take tidbits from eveything you read and make your OWN style. If everyone is running around with the same routines, same openers, and the same game overall... That makes us all the same. Dont get me wrong, most of us have simular goals... and thats what attracts us to the PUA lifestyle. However, dont do things that you feel are morally incorrect for you, just to seem cooler. Sure... frats are looked upon as having "high social value", and always having fun. Look at the other side of frats though... alchoholics, uneducated, potheads, etc... none of which are attractive to females. (unless they live in a trailer park of course). So pick up more reading material, and come up with your own style. Theres no better way of figuring out what works best in YOUR community, than getting out there and sarging EVERY chance you get. Best of luck to you... (I hope I didnt offend anyone, if I did... Im NOT SORRY) |
